We were seated at 6:45, the food didn't arrive until 8:15. Waters weren't refilled. Drink orders weren't taken. One person's food order was missing. The waitress was running around in a frenzy forgetting things left and right. The whole place had three tables... Calm down. The food itself was just basic, low quality, freezer-to-fryer stuff. Cheap ingredients. Shoddy preparation. Overpriced. The fries were good.
Chill atmosphere.
Gluten-free hard cider and many gluten-free food options are available. Bartender was kind and knowledgeable about gluten-free options 👍
If you're thinking of dining at The Woods, consider this a heads-up. We were charged an additional $20 if we paid with a credit card. While we were aware of this fee, it definitely adds a premium to your meal that, in our experience, was completely unjustified by what followed.
Our visit was plagued by unacceptable service that felt far from earning the mandatory 20% tip automatically included on our bill. We endured an agonizing wait of an hour for our food, with no one checking on us or offering an explanation. When our dishes finally arrived, we were genuinely surprised by how small the portion sizes were – certainly not enough to be satisfying, especially given the prices.
Our server seemed to actively avoid our table, never once returning to offer a second drink or ensure we had everything we needed. We felt utterly neglected and like an afterthought. The lack of care, combined with an unfriendly attitude, made what should have been an enjoyable meal a stressful ordeal. And for anyone needing it, the elevator was out of order.
It's disheartening to pay a premium, including a card fee and a mandatory tip, for an experience where you feel ignored, are served insubstantial portions, and receive such poor service. Based on our frustrating and subpar experience, I strongly recommend looking for a restaurant that truly values its customers and provides better value.
Awesome find! We were looking for a bite to eat and Woods was the first spot we found on our drive. Service was welcoming and fantastic! Food was delicious and bonus for having so many gluten free options. Highly recommend!
We loved The Woods so much we ate dinner there twice in one week.
Salmon Tacos, BLAT and Portobello sandwiches were delicious. Generous portions - especially the fries! (SWEET POTATO FRIES-YUM!!)
Service was perfect! Shout out to our friendly and awesome waitresses Aurora and Amy!
You will live this gem!
Went on a Friday. It appeared 2 people were behind the bar but stood to the side while 1 waitress handled all the tables PLUS their drinks. Our waitress came by a total of 3 times and it was very delayed from the order of drinks to recieving them because she had to get drinks for ALL the tables as well. I run a business and have lengthy years of restaurant work. The bar tenders need to be helping the floor and making the drinks, this set up was only going to benefit the waitress’s pocket and screw the bartenders and the customers. I would have gotten a 2nd drink had I ever been asked before I got the visit for the check
Great atmosphere and good service. Came in to watch the NFC playoff game. Food wasnt that good. I would come back for the atmosphere but maybe eat elsewhere.
Came back to Tahoe for my birthday. We chose The Woods for non particular reason. Just a new place to try.
The food took quite a long time to come out to our table. Quite long. But...once it came it was bomb!
If I have any issues it was just that. The time it took to get the food.

Never expected to have such a great meal at a sports-type bar! The food was excellent, service was super friendly and quick, ambiance was a spacious, modern feel with lots of big screens including baseball / football and a couple screens of the more exciting Red Bull sports. I’d feel comfortable coming here just for a great meal!

Best sports bar in Tahoe, with a refined atmosphere for any date night. The house brewed beer and spinach artichoke dip are a must try!!
Kid-friendliness: Big comfy booths, relaxed upstairs section and outdoor patio perfect for kids.

Pick 6 sucked. I swore to never go back there. This place doesn’t. Great vibe. Plenty of TV’s. Good food and really attentive and hard working staff. We will definitely be back. Go 9’ers!!!
