The food and drinks are great! Brandon (bartender) will take good care of you and has good recommendations for local spots if you’re from out of town. Chef Xavier knows what he’s doing and has some interesting takes on traditional pub fare.

This is not an elevated modern gastropub. It’s a bar that serves mediocre food. They were out of so many things. Burgers were missing ingredients. Brisket sliders were awful and then brought a chicken tender basket with two measly tenders as a replacement. Our waitress was nice and did help make it right though.

The food was great, service was great, beer was great, atmosphere was great.......they just need WiFi. Despite that I will be back.

As a 60 + year resident of So Lake Tahoe I am once again disappointed at the poor quality of the tourist based eatery's. BBQ beef sliders was my selection. Grizzly beef bits that I struggled to get down and I can and will eat almost anything. Flavorless tacos, French onion soup with undercooked onions. Don't bother!

In my opinion, this is a sports bar that wants to be a gastropub. Their website bills it as an “elevated gastropub,” but with the food and ambience that’s a stretch. They sat us upstairs right next to a giant flat screen with the UFC match on. Half our table was facing the TV directly, 4ish feet away ?. Very distracting.Service was fine. Food was mostly good, but the pomegranates on our salad were old, and tasted fermented/rotten ?.With a slightly nicer ambiance this would be a nice spot, feel more restauranty.

I took my brother here this past Friday with our dad and my son, my brother very excited due to being new to the area trying something fun and he talked how it was always looked busy. When we showed up there was no one there which was ok with us we just figured then we would get great food and customer service..how wrong were we 1st off my brother doesn't drink so he asked what drinks they have and the women snapped at him "we have Pepsi products" then he went on to ask if they have teas or not. She replied " black" then he asked no fresh sweet tea and she said "if you want it sweet put sugar in it". Anyways he ended up asking if they could put strawberry puree in it and she glared at him as of he asked if the world was flat or something. She offered no help with getting a high chair she acted like we bothered her... She has no business being around other people. 2nd we ordered our appetizer brussel sprouts and a sausage and pretzel plate ....The brussel sprouts were RAW I could have made them better without the attitude, the sausage and beer cheese was cold. 3rd my brother ordered the fish tacos and I ordered a medium rare steak. I got my steak and it was overcooked so I asked if they could remake it, the chef came out and tried to tell me that the steak was cooked how I asked except for the one side of the steak after cutting it up to show me the difference of the cook...like wtf didn't even remake it for me. My brother said the fish just tasted like batter with no flavor he didn't want to send it back after witnessing how the chef acted towards me. Not worth the $130 dollar bill, and we tip well because that's the kind of people we are but I will never ever go back to that God awfulness. Don't waste your time unless you wanna deal with a child for a hostess and a know it all chef

Fantastic food; gourmet quality at half the price of fine dining. Hats off to Chef Xavier for the sea bass and the chicken parm. Great friendly bartenders too, with lots of drink choices. We can't wait to return!

Food was awesome! Service was awesome, if you are lucky enough to get John as a server, he will not disappoint. Had a party of 9 and we all felt taken care of. Again let me emphasize the food was great!

I dined at The Woods on Valentines Day. Got a rec to come here for the nachos! Unfortunately they changed their menu and we didn't get nachos :( We ordered the calamari, fish n chips and wings. The calamari was in strips and you only got 5 pieces for $15. It was slightly overdone- aka too chewy. The best dish was the fish n chips. Very tender fish and the fries were delish. The wings were good but standard- it was a small portion (6 wings) for $17. I did appreciate all the TVs and the service was decent. For the price of this establishment, I would rather go to Freshies. It was just OK.

Another great afternoon at The Woods! From start to finish, the service was great! Hostess was a doll and took care of us even the the place was packed for Super Bowl Sunday. Out server was on top of it and the drinks were on point! The wings and sliders were fire and the brie and apple griller hit the spot! Make sure to have a penicillin to warm your toes! Pay no mind to the nay-sayers...it's a great place!

Service was great. Love the location and sports bar theme. Had the worst burger I have ever had in Tahoe. Menu says 1/2 pound wagyu/sirloin ordered medium. It came with two thin patties, dried out, no seasoning, and tasted old and previously frozen... I ate about half of it and gave up.. At $22 with cheese id rather have a McDonalds... We also had the chicken pot pie. It was just ok. It had a strong, heavy Marsala wine taste. This was our second visit. First was better much with just Nachos and a wedge. One star this time. Four last time. We will try again but avoid the burger and pot pie...
