Place is very clean. Food is over priced. Employees don't speak English. There are many good restaurants to eat in the area.

Over the summer I have eaten here quite a bit and every time it is wonderful. Great staff very friendly, Great service, very clean plus they bake their own bread always fresh out of the oven.

This place so damn expensive, almost 30 bucks for just a single sandwich and a soap ?
The worst sourdough co I have ever been to. Been working in restaurants for 17 years. So I understand having bad days. I always give a business 3-4 tries before making a judgment and necessary review so no one else waste their hard earned money. There are so many places to get a good sandwich in tahoe. Avoid this place at all cost unless you are happy spending $$$$$ on stale bread, barely any meat and overall a terrible experience. What a shame.

Pro tip: Subway is around the corner!
20 min for a single 6” in sandwich with just meat, sauce and cheese.
Oh and this little thing cost $15.45 by the time you get out the door with base price + tax + 15% tip (which you feel obligated to add at the point of sale before you ever get to experience the food or the “service”.

25 min wait on a random Wednesday for just two small sandwiches. It wasn't busy and there were three employees making sandwiches but no orders seemed to be actually ready until all the waiting customers started to ask how much longer. Sandwiches were average, on par with Subway.

40 minutes for a sandwich. Come on. By far the slowest service ever. Sandwich okay but waitijg so long is just comically bad. 3 food prep employees working at snails pace.

Good eats, but slowest food in Tahoe, even when the place is empty.

My husband and I are visiting Lake Tahoe. Today I was just exhausted and needed to just rest and my husband picked up sandwiches from West Coast sourdough on his way back to the hotel after cycling. I got the peppered turkey and a bowl of clam chowder and a chocolate chip cookie for later. It was freaking amazing. I picked which toppings I wanted and the bread was phenomenal. I love sourdough bread but I've never had it in like a role like this. It was so crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The turkey was really good. The clam chowder was delicious. I just ate two bites of the cookie and I can't eat anymore till later but it's was really good. Some people have said it's expensive but everything's expensive now and you get what you pay for.

I don’t ever leave reviews but I had to share my experience. The sourdough bread and bread bowl was absolutely amazing it was crispy but still soft on the inside. I absolutely love sourdough and this exceeded my expectations! I got the cranberry turkey with regular mustard because I don’t like Dijon and it was amazing! 10/10 recommend!

A good clam chowder in sourdough bowl in S. Lake Tahoe? Naaah. It’s can’t be.
Let’s get one and be ready for disappointment. Boy was I wrong!!!! Luv when that happens lol
Their sourdough is amazing. It’s fresh and soft.
Kid-friendliness: Plenty of room between tables. Tables on the grass area outside.
