I and my fiance had a dinner today. The food was amazingly good and affordable. I've been to a couple of Japanese cuisine places in the South Lake Tahoe area but I thinm Yugen is really on top of my list. We told each other that we would have to come back soon

This place went above and beyond for us tonight. I'm from out of town. I called a few weeks ago to make reservation and they don't take then, no big deal. They day of us coming I called to give them a heads up there would be 9 of us and one in a wheelchair. The lady on the phone was so nice and said it should be ok. We were willing to wait but when we walked in they moved things around and got us right in. We had a great time. The food is incredible!! We got all kinds of dishes and we shared. I had said it was for a birthday but never asked for anything. I was just being me and sharing too much. The birthday boy was so embarrassed and it was great!! Thank you for going above and beyond!!!
Dietary restrictions: We had someone with a shellfish allergy and he was very well taken care of.
I went with my husband, we saw the place in a TikTok video and we loved the sushi. It is complete and very good. We recommend it if you are in the area. Fast food and very friendly staff.

Our first time visiting this establishment. Their service was top-notch, very friendly and polite, as well as attentive. The Teriyaki bowl was filling, and the rolls we ate with it were very tasty. We now know where we will be going for our sushi in the future.
Parking: Busy location, parking usually in a block or so.
The food was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Great service, Kate was above and beyond. Perfect choice for sushi lovers.

Great place to eat in Tahoe. Good atmosphere, location, fresh food, and excellent service. We liked the presentation on the food and they also have outdoor seating!! The only downfall is it is street parking only.

The selection of vegetarian sushi was awesome, veggie gyoza was delicious, and edamame was solid. If you’re looking for veggie sushi in the area, look no further. Check out the asparagus and mango rolls! 🤤
really enjoyed this place, the food was amazing and so was the service. We tried the crystal shrimp, mango habenaro and playa Blanca and we loved all three.

Felt like we were cheated by this restaurant. I ordered the caterpillar Roll and the Ichiban. The caterpillar roll was supposed to have eel and spicy crab, but instead there was hardly any eel and they used imitation crab. It was worse than sushi that I can get at a supermarket for the restaurant price. The Ichiban was load with imitation crab. There's no soft crab.

The worst ceviche I have ever eaten in my life, I could only taste the lemon. It's incredible that with Latino people working in the kitchen, they don't know how to make ceviche. We also ordered 2 miso soups, they were cold. I didn't want to return the food, I preferred to leave and never come back.

Great little hidden gem. Great sushi rolls and miso soup. Service is excellent and the price is very affordable. This is a must visit every time I visit Tahoe.
We randomly came across this place and boy what a wonderful experience this was.
The sushi is out of this world, delicious in every bite, and for such an amazing price.
We had no idea how popular this place was, and they certainly were super busy when we stopped by, the friendly staff accommodated us regardless.
From now on this is a MUST have for all future Tahoe trips.
