First time back in a decade and well worth it. The service was fantastic: attentive. We ordered the blueberry cobbler and after informing us it was sold out they offered an option on the house. Cuts were good, the sauces were good, just wish they were spicier. A tad loud.

Gus's BBQ did not disappoint! The food was so delicious and flavorful. I ordered the Fried Chicken with a Jalapeño Sausage, Brisket, Baked Beans, and Greens. I also ordered the famous Cast Iron Skillet Cornbread. The packaging was really nice and the food was still very hot.OMG!! If I have a taste for some real BBQ or a Southern cooked meal, I'm coming back to Gus's.

What was good was the wedge salad, cornbread, and the glass of sangria. The entrees of both gumbo and shrimp with grits weren't authentic to true southern cuisine. They were less than mediocre at best. We were very disappointed.

Edit: we came for the bbq for dinner. I had the fried chicken and waffles. Freaking amazing. The chicken was so crispy. Waffles were buttery. Service was great even with the crowd.Great for brunch lunch and dinner. A very family friendly restaurant but they they also have a small quiet bar. Love the vintage theme through the interior. They have excellent service here and even better food. Their BBQ is savory and full of flavor. Today I had the blueberry pancakes and boy were they good. The pancakes were huge and flavorful. It seems the blueberries were fresh and organic. They gave us fantastic service.

Gus's has a wide variety of choices (beyond the signature Southern barbecued meats) and the food has been consistently delicious over the years. The bar menu is interesting (and the sangria is the best anywhere, IMO). Service is always friendly and efficient. We never feel rushed to leave even when the restaurant is full.

I love this place and I will definitely come back, however I specifically reserved a table for someone in my party's birthday. I think the staff forgot, or didn't read the reservation notes entirely. Two other tables around us were also celebrating birthdays so I had assumed there would be a candle lit cake arriving to our table soon enough, but instead we received our bill. Made for a very awkward moment. Nonetheless, food was amazing and other than that staff were great.

We hadn't been to Gus's in quite awhile and were looking forward to a rack of ribs, and we were not disappointed. The ribs were juicy and very flavorful. We had the cole slaw and the green beans as sides and they were very good too. We had an excellent time and dinner. We had made a reservation in advance and were seated immediately upon arrival.

It's like being in Nashville without leaving home. The food is incredible and the service is equally good. The place was full on Sunday evening, but we still got seated within minutes, so that was great for us. We had the pulled pork nachos as a starter, and what a start! The nachos were delicious. Everything tasted freshly made. For the main course we chose the Picnic Platter and the Rib Sandwich. Those were to die for! The meat falls off the bone, the BBQ sauce is not too salty or sweet, so it's perfectly balanced flavors. The fried chicken was juicy and fried to perfection. The sides were so good too. We got the creamed corn (my mouth waters just thinking about it!), and the cole slaw. We complemented with House Made Lemonade and Orange Cream Soda. Unfortunately, we didn't have room for dessert...so we will have to come back for that, and more. Our server, Scott, was so nice and made us feel at home all through our meal. I'm telling you, this is a "must go" place.Parking: The free parking lot was full, but there is street parking for free on side streets.Wheelchair accessibility: There are no stairs, so it's easy to get around.

Dependably good service and good food. Particularly tasty last night with a nice draft beer. I got the spare ribs, brisket, and sausage combo with jalepeno grits and Cole slaw. One taste of the brisket and that's why they call it comfort food. The rest of the family enjoyed their dinner too.

Absolutely one of the best BBQ places in Los Angeles. Incredible selection, very filling and fantastic selections of beer. Great service also. Give Gus's a try, you will not be disappointed. ?

The food was really good! The best bbq that I have tasted but their customer service in the front was the worst! When I walked in and checked in early about and hour and half. The host stated that I would be seated close to my time or at the time we made our reservation. When other people were just checking in she would say 45 minutes. I then asked her what was my wait and she mentioned the same thing then I said I shouldn't have done a reservation and just walked in. She then realized and took us in within 15 minutes but still waited about an hour and half.

Chicken was dry, Brisket was very fatty. Half of the brisket was fat that I cut away. Sausage, beans and mash were good. Ice tea serviced in small jelly jars. Way too overpriced for what it's worth
