It's been some years since I last dined at Shiro, and I was so delighted that it has fully maintained its superlative status as a first rate restaurant experience on every level. Shiro offers casually elegant dining in a handsome, intimate and stylish storefront in a historic district in South Pasadena. The French-Asian menu offers amazing creations and flavors that will entice and satisfy. My husband had an appetizer consisting of the plumpest, most tasty pan-fried oysters imaginable, as well as a wonderfully seasoned uni pasta. I had sea bass in a rich sauce over Japanese eggplant. The service is impeccable, from the initial greeting and seating to the server and helpers. It is friendly, caring and professional. We will certainly not wait years until our next visit.

We ordered the day special and two their most popular dishes- cat fish and Chinese Ravioli. My husband like the catfish. We all think the Ravioli is very common. The fried oyster, rib eye steak, uni pasta is very good. When iI made reservation, i remark it is for birthday. They don't ask during the meal, so i think they may ignore it. But when we asked the bill, the waiter brought a small dessert with candle light in. This is a good surprise.

This restaurant is always fabulous. Unfortunately, this nite the waitress forgot it was my client's birthday so that wasn't cool. Other than that, a must! Fabulous food and suited for quiet conversation.

We had a good meal. All desserts were yummy except the Crème brûlée that was not creamy at all, very odd. I am sorry to say it was the worst crème brûlée I ever had . Won't order it again.

We came here for our anniversary, the perfect place! We each had an appetizer- wonton ravioli and the truffle ravioli. My husband had a melt-in-your-mouth filet mignon but the ravioli was enough for me. And to our surprise, we had a dessert on the house for our anniversary! So sweet! We will definitely come back and try other things on the menu. The service was attentive, friendly, and just welcoming!!
