2/19/24 i had the worst experience in Costco. Been regular since 2018 and I always bring a guest with me with no issue and they can pay for their groceries using their own card. But the cashier decided to be difficult to me and my girlfriend today as we had our own groceries. She decided that there's a policy that guests can only pay cash and can't pay with their card. So, I decided to pay with my gf's card and the cashier told me that I couldn't. What's funny is the next customer in line paid separately and she didn't do what she did to us. She basically picked on us, pls be aware if you're bringing a guest and your cashier is "KELLY L". But when I complained about what happens to the supervisor, he simply just walked away without even letting me finish my sentence.

I love costco but this is the most frustrating costco of all time. They need about double of everything and someone to enforce some sort of organization in the absolute madness that they call a parking lot and warehouse.

Costco in South San Francisco impresses with its expansive selection of products, catering to diverse needs. The warehouse's layout is thoughtfully organized, creating a seamless flow for shoppers. The staff consistently exude a friendly and helpful demeanor, enhancing the overall customer experience. One notable aspect is the variety of items available, ranging from fresh produce and groceries to electronics, clothing, and household essentials. The inclusion of a gas station adds convenience for members. The presence of well-known brands alongside Costco's own Kirkland Signature line provides a balance between recognized labels and cost-effective, high-quality alternatives. The membership perks, including access to exclusive deals and discounts, add significant value for regular shoppers. The ability to buy in bulk is especially advantageous for families or those looking to stock up on essentials. The food court, known for its affordable and tasty offerings, is an added bonus. However, it's worth noting that the popularity of Costco can lead to crowded conditions during peak hours. While this attests to its widespread appeal, it may require some patience when navigating the aisles. In conclusion, Costco in South San Francisco stands out as a reliable and cost-effective shopping destination, offering a comprehensive selection of products with the added benefits of membership perks and quality store-brand options.

I wanted to share my recent experience at the store, which left me feeling quite disappointed. As a long-time customer who considers Costco a second home, I was taken aback when abruptly stopped at the self-checkout kiosk and informed about the new policy. While I understand the importance of adhering to rules, it was disheartening to have my cart taken away after spending considerable time and money loading it with items. I value my relationship with Costco and have been a loyal customer for years, consistently spending hundreds, if not thousands, annually. I appreciate the need for policies, but I believe there could be a more customer-friendly approach to their enforcement. I hope my feedback can contribute to improving the overall shopping experience for loyal patrons like myself. This will be the last time you guys stop me.. good luck.

Tried Costco's cookie!! It was $2.49 for a warm chocolate chip cookie. It was so gooey in the middle and wasn't too sweet. Since I'm not a chocolate fan I just mainly ate the crust, my boyfriend finished the rest. Would I buy it again? Probably not. It was nothing to crazy but it was cool to try. [EDIT] ok I did not realize this thing was 750 calories. Definitely not getting it again LOL Check out my instagram for a video! @annaaeatss

I went to buy the fresh Dungeness crab yesterday at this Costco. Please be careful when you buy them because it cost me over $26 for two and found out that it was frozen and not fresh. I was very disappointed. I will think twice before buying it now.

Had to return 11- unused -27GALSTORAGE bins, since they didn't all fit in my compact car, I had to make 2 trips. When I reached the Customer Service /Returns counter, Wasn't greeted, not problem or expected because it's hard to find happy employees in retail- nowadays. I explained to the employee that I had a return. He proceeded to scan my membership card, OP#: 611 Name: Adrian F. Then makes a comment that I just completed a return, yesterday. First off....why, does it matter if I completed a return yesterday? It's the way he said it to me as if it was wrong to return. The entire transaction experience became unpleasant. He was rude the entire time. We spend more money at Costco, than we return! As an employee in retail, myself for 30 years. We always want to make the customer experience is exceptional or at least try too. This kid, definitely needs training with his customer service skills. If Adrian doesn't like his job, then he needs to find something else that makes him happy to put out positive energy towards others. You can't judge people and have negative body language and unnecessary comments towards people's transactions.

Costco is cool. Monday gas is the cheapest for the week. However, we all witnessed a mishap. This other guy "accidently" cut this man in the gas line, and the guy had a whole meltdown. He walked around with his fist clenched. It's the holidays bro - be easy. Anyways, everyone else, be careful. He has an unnecessary short fuse and doesn't know how to accept an apology.

yeah, don't come to this costco location. encountered a VERY rude worker with a nasty attitude and honestly, there are better costco locations out there with nicer workers. I would suggest going to the airport location! much more spacious and the workers have been amazing there

First things first, absolutely the worst design in through ways. There is one entrance to the entire parking lot, so if you can make it in, you passed the first hurdle. After a few attempts at this, I stopped coming in. Ability to park at this place alone does not make it a good reason to shop here. Choices are similar to other stores, go to the S.F. location in Soma, or the business center in south S.F. for better parking and the same selections. Good luck.

We often come to this Costco location. I think this location is better than the downtown one. The lines are shorter and finding parking is somewhat easier in the morning. This review is for the food court. There was a racist guy (I think he is Mexican?) working there and I saw that he gave the previous guy a slice of pizza from a fresh whole pizza. When it was my turn he pulled a slice from a old pizza that only had about three slices left. I immediately requested him to give me a slice from the fresh one and he wasn't happy and said all the same. It was not the same, the fresh one still had the oil gloss or juice and the old one was dried.

Horrible experience today the person that checked me out was to busy talking & complaining about being tired to the other person at the registerthey forgot to scan my 2 cases of diet soda when I was leaving the person checking the receipt noticed. I was more than happy to pay offered my card instead she pulled the cart over to the corner and treated me like I was some kind of a criminal I will never returned this Costco again and am thinking about canceling my membership altogether the manager who came over to help and assist was about one of the most unpleasant people I've ever met in my life! Horrible attitudes and atmosphere.

Crowded, Crowded, CROWDED! Adored Grandson lives not far from this Costco location now. Yikes! We have stopped here in the past for the gasoline station on site. Recently though, when in the area, the kids wanted to go to Costco to pick up some staples for their apartment. Four of us went on a Monday afternoon. Don't people work anymore?! This place was just as jam-packed on a "nothing day" as what I recall from a Costco in La Quinta (near Palm Springs) on the day before Thanksgiving. That was what I thought was the epitome of extreme crowding. This Costco in SSF / Colma area takes the cake for crowds. They honestly could have / Should have traffic cops to keep cars moving in an orderly fashion in and out of the parking lot. It took us a while to find parking when we first arrived to go inside to shop. It was honestly even worse to leave our parking spot (should have sold it!) to get in line to go to the gas station. It was really, really bad.I like saving money, but I would rather spend a couple more bucks at a different gas station than go through that agony again. As for shopping with the kids, we might have to recommend leaving town to go to a more distant Costco. Would probably save time by avoiding the masses of people milling around this location. I will say that the cashiers at the checkout lines were keeping things moving. Whew!
