Another hole-in-the-wall, underrated but great tasting Northern China food restaurant in Bay area. Hidden away in an alley, minimal decor serving unpretentious noodle, soups, and Chinese pancakes and a lot more. If you're in the neighborhood, you need to give this place a try.?? *They serve most foods in takeout containers. Bypass this and focus on the food. I had to learn this ?

We happened upon the Empire while on a trip to SF. We love to dive the streets looking for places off the beaten path. This place was great, a little hole in the wall with wonderful food. Nothing elaborate but fresh dumplings, fresh cooked vegetables and hot tea. We dined in the first night and got a to go order the second. Very satisfying, tasty meals.
