Burrito was so so spicy. Couldn't even eat it. Got a super burrito with chicken as it comes. Will not be coming back.

Came by here after hiking in the sign hill trail. Place is small but not too busy (seems they mostly get take out orders). I ordered dine in and got the super tacos. Super tacos are your choice meat, avocado, onions hot sauce and sour cream. I got pastor for meat. The meat was juicey and tacos overall delicious. For the price they were pretty filling and yum. Not much else to say other than I highly recommend if you like tacos.

Cashier didn't understand English so my order was messed up but they was quick, professional and very good service in fixing the issue. The owner was friendly and kind enough to have me not pay the additional but I still paid bcus we live in a world that we all are trying to make a living. Very courtesy and we'll recommended spot. It even has a laundromat next door and a market.

I am working up in San Francisco for the day and my phone popped up places near my hotel and this place popped up. I'm glad it did because I completely enjoyed my meal. The #1 thing is see from far too many Mexican food places is the food is far too bland to be memorable. Something to keep in mind is the fancier the place looks what with festive colors and blaring mariachi music, the more likely it is food that will be bland as hell and ideal for mid-westerners that consider Taco Bell "spicy". This place is not fancy, it's focuses on what is important and that is quality flavors. I got an al pastor taco and the al pastor was delicious, and the meat was slightly crispy which was a nice surprise. Most places the al pastor is boiled pork with a watered down ketchup on it. I also got an asada burrito that was huge, well priced and put together perfectly. I was eyeballing other people's meals and everything looked so delicious. As with any taqueria that is good, there will be a wait to get your food, but it wasn't that bad at all. This is a place I will be craving when I get back down to LA. Fortunately, I do know places down there that will take care of me. I will be sure to come here again next time I am up.

My husband and I were in the neighborhood and decided to try this place out. It was our first time dining in and it did not disappoint! I was craving a burrito and he wanted super nachos. For the reasonable prices I was so happy and satisfied that I tried this place! The wait time was very fast and the food was muy deliciouso! The quality of the meat was very flavorful and authentic! I will definitely be back! Good value, clean restaurant, nothing fancy just awesome food periodt! If you are ever in the SSF area please come support a local business and check this place out! I h if you recommend it!

Best tacos in San Mateo. Has never failed us. We even tried going on New Year but they were closed - they're hard working so we were glad to see them take ONE day off.

We heard about El Palenque through a few friends who come here frequently when they want a burrito. The cashier looked tired, unfriendly, and unwelcoming. This was our first time trying their food. Their wet burrito and beef burrito were both quite dry. Maybe because it was late in the day? But the meat was really dry and so was their rice. Even with sauce, it didn't help to make the food any better. We got our food to go and went home to eat it. There was barely any salsa or sour cream in our burritos. I guess that would have made it better. We did add more salsa to our meal but for some reason, it tasted like everything was overcooked or dried out. We were disappointed since it was a recommendation from others. I guess everyone has their own opinion of what is good. Or maybe this was one of their off days. Sadly, we'll stick with our usual burrito place.

Stumbled upon this taqueria, ordered the super taco carnitas & watermelon juice. It was absolutely the best. More and more people showed up for lunch time.

Been here several times. The food has always been good. So far I have tried wet burrito, super burrito, super nachos, fajitas, meats include el pastor, carne asada. Portion size is pretty good, price is same as most places. Overall solid food and usually don't have to wait long for orders. I'll definitely try other stuff on the menu.
