Fantastic coffee! Hidden gem!

Last week I got a chance to try ikon Roastery. It was a bit tricky to find but if you're looking it's on the left hand side of the large building. I was looking for some espresso beans and the barista shared with me four beans to choose from. I was tempted to get Carl of the fog at first but decided with welichu wacku. I also got a shot of the beans I purchased to give it a try and it had a lot of flavor. I was very impressed with the quality and service. They barista was very knowledgeable and friendly. The ambiance felt industrial with the equipment in the background. It was nice to see where your beans are getting roasted. Overall would recommend them for a try if you're looking to support local.

I came here during my most recent visit to San Francisco and I was very pleased. I honestly think it's one of the best roasters in the Bay Area; definitely the best if you're staying near the airport. The barista was really friendly. I ordered an iced latte and asked her to put a little bit of raw sugar in it. She was very concerned with making sure she put in the right amount to my taste. She definitely cares about the customers' experience. The only downside is that this location doesn't have any baked goods, but I guess their other location does.

Love their coffee beans. Order their whole been coffee regularly but for some reason their website is out of whole beans and i can't get an answer as to why. If it's back in stock i would advise anyone who brews their own to get some for their home.
