We went on a weekday and with the exeption of a man eating outside we were the only other customers. Food was okay but the waitress had the TV on with dominating music playing. Guess that was why the man ate outside. The place needs an update.
The service was good. The food was delicious and the owners were wonderful.

This is an old style eatery with great food at a decent price. We had a late breakfast after which was followed by dawdling over coffee as we waited for a friend to arrive at SFO. The welcome was wonderful and the service was fine.

I ordered the "Orange French Toast" made with their homemade bread. It was one of the best French toast dishes I've had! I'm definitely going back to try their other selections!!!

We went to this place for breakfast this morning. The first thing we’ve noticed is that the coffee wasn’t really that good. It has a little bit of a bitter sour taste so I would suggest they maybe think of switching the beans to something well roasted. The buckwheat pancakes were actually quite good and were a hit among the guests. Only half of us were happy with their food. My omelette was actually good but the Mingus was not to our liking.
The Service could have been more attentive to our order as we have emphasized that we want eggs well done and they came out really runny. They have a 2% surcharge on the card payment, so bring cash.

Joannes used to be a really neat place. People lined up outside just to get in for breakfast. I don’t know what happened but last time I went there which was a few months ago, It was horrible. There was one other family who were just leaving. One wait person, one cook and the order was still wrong. I asked for a sausage patty to go with breakfast and I got a hamburger patty instead. I doubt this restaurant will stay open long because there’s been a lot of complaints that I can hear. Very sad.
