We regularly dine at Kamu and love the fresh fish. Omakase is a special treat for date nights when it’s just us without the kids. When bringing the whole family, we opt for a variety of rolls and sashimi. Must try the Wagyu on Fire, Crunchy Blossom, Smokin’ All, Spicy Garlic Edamame, and Matcha Brûlée dessert.

First visit and I'm glad i was early to get a seat. The sake salmon belly are fresh and seasoning are just nice without overpowering the fresh taste of salmon. Chicken katsu are a bit dry but go qell with the sauce. The preserved ginger is just the way i like it - tender and sweet

I love this spot!!! Cheuk and Helen always make us feel so welcome. The space has great ambiance. So lucky to have them here in South San Francisco. We typically order rolls and nigiri. The fish has always been fresh and they have never disappointed for the years we have been coming here. A must try!!

Tiny place, but cute and welcoming. Best sushi ever! We always order the Omakasi option but the menu also has yummy stuff like “Smok’in Sake” (salmon infused with applewood smoke). Love the ocean trout! We actually love that this place is small and cozy! The owner Chuck is the nicest when not busy preparing your sushi. Oh! The green tea crème brûlée with the apricot beignets are to die for!!

From the moment I walked into this sushi bar, I knew I was in for something special. The staff greeted me with warmth and professionalism, making sure I was comfortably seated right away. The sushi selection is extraordinary, with fresh fish that melts in your mouth. I particularly enjoyed their signature rolls, which were beautifully presented and packed with bold flavors. The ambiance is serene and modern, offering a perfect balance between intimate dining and casual elegance. The whole experience felt personal, and I'll definitely be coming back.
I was disappointed with the service during my visit. One of the staff members made an inappropriate comment, telling me I looked tired. This felt unprofessional and disrespectful. While I understand people have different ways of engaging with customers, such remarks are unnecessary and can make the dining experience uncomfortable. .

Charming warm and cozy vibe with great very fresh food at really reasonable prices. Had the omakase and really liked that it was a variety of things and not just sushi, which is unique. Staff was so friendly and nice and I think they made adjustments to get some stuff in I really liked. So glad I was introduced to this place.
