Sadly May Fair Restaurant has closed. I went there on Friday, March 19th, lights are off and door is locked. Thes hand written sign on the door states they are closed after 31 years of business.

We walked along Grand and stumbled upon this place. Ordered take out for dinner and were very impressed! Every dish we ordered was delicious, packed with flavor, generous portions, and it was a great price. 3 dishes for less than $30 can't beat that. What we ordered: Mongolian Beef Braised Bean Curd (Tofu with vegetables) Steamed Pork Ham Yu

Love this mom and pop restaurant! This place is a family and friend favorite in South San Fransisco. Authentic and yummy Chinese food with great lunch and dinner combos. Our favorite appetizers are the fried chicken and fried pig intestine! We also order a lot of fried chicken and the pig intestines go fast!!! Pig intestines comes with picked veggies and sweet and sour sauce. We also love the chicken chow mein, sweet and sour pork, beef stew, salty fish fried rice, honey walnut shrimp, chow fun, eggplant and salt/pepper pork! I have also gotten the lunch combos and they are H U G E. My friend got the duck lunch combo and it was delicious. The combo comes with rice/chow mein and a side of veggies (broccoli and carrot). We recently ordered two honey walnut shrimp, two beef stew, two fried chicken, one salty fish fried rice, one beef chow fun, one garlic eggplant and one Intestine and it all came out to be about $100! This fed close to 8 people. We've also ordered some party trays for group trips and they always are giant portions. There is metered parking in front and nearby. Since it's south sf, parking isn't tooo horrible

Chinese take out, known for cheap prices and delicous food. May Fair meets both these criteria, and that's something hard to do in SF/Peninsula. The food is authentic, flavorful, and does not leave me wanting to down a gallon of water afterwards. Additonal plus, the owner and staff are friendly and helpful.

Great food at a reasonable price. Real Chinese comfort food. Salt fish pork over rice is perfect. Salt fish and chicken fried rice is also great.

This is the absolute worst Chinese cuisine my family and I ever had! BLAND ! No flavor we spent $75 dollars and had to throw away all the food we bought it was terrible........never again! They need to really work on making the food with waaay more flavor! So dissatisfied and disappointed!

This spot knows how to treat their clients. Constantly with a very nice mindset. The food is fairly priced, regularly delicious and neat.

There's meter parking around the entire area for this location. Currently offering carry out orders only. The lunch specials are very cheap! It's around $7.50 for a carry out. I had the general Tso chicken with white rice and it was a lot of food. I highly recommend this place for cheap and delicious food.

I've been eating at this restaurant for more than 10 years. Like most Bay Area natives I moved out of South San Francisco. Never been disappointed.
