I Love 💕 Going to this little Italian Restaurant, it reminds me of Italy 🇮🇹 and how warm and friendly the staff is. I love the atmosphere and the feeling of family and friends. The owner takes a personal interest in his customers and always makes you feel at home 🏠. My favorite dish is pasta in Alfredo sauce with salmon and prawns. I love the creamy taste with garlic and olive oil. This is one of my favorite restaurants in South San Francisco. I go every single Friday 🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳

I would definitely come back! The staff greeted us, seated us, and served us right away. They were all very friendly and attentive, and the food was delicious. The restaurant has a lively and colorful atmosphere. I will definitely return to this place.

Service was very slow and the food was very expensive. I had veal parmesan and it tasted very bad. Someone didn't know how to make a good veal parmesan

My appetizer and main meal was terrible. Service was good and the place is nice. To be fair one of my friends liked her meal and the others said it was just OK.

The level of service and quality of food have dropped from good to mediocre. Not sure if I'll be back.

The place is a real Italian style restaurant. With proper Italian food. A bit more up-market without being too posh. Nice place for special diner for 2 or for families celebratig for a special occasion.

Love Ristorante Buon Gusto! Walking in, the ambience and decor made me feel like I had stepped foot into Italy. The pasta was fresh and flavorful, and the staff were so fun and charming. One of my favorite spots in South San Francisco!

Great food! We make a point of visiting when we're in the area. Outstanding service. The only drawback is the tables are close together and you can hear the conversations around you. Try to go early when it's fairly empty to enjoy it properly.

Pleasant service and nice atmosphere. The filet mignon with veggies, polenta, and three shrimp was solid. Unfortunately, the tiramisu was inedible and had to be sent back, which dampened the overall experience.

This place is old‑school Italian! Walking in feels like you just hopped in a time machine. Dope vibe, legit classic dishes, and the servers actually keep your wine glass full before you even notice. The fried calamari, veal parm, and tortellini Buon Gusto are straight-up comfort food goals, making it impossible not to leave totally stuffed.

Don’t go here.! I gave it one star because there was nothing lower. We waited over 25 minutes to place our order, I had to hunt down the waiter to place it. And then when no food arrived after another 20 minutes I was met by the owner/manager/waiter with an attitude about how my order had not been “punched in.“. We realized that no one in the restaurant had food in front of them and another table had been waiting one hour and 20 minutes. How this place stays in business is a mystery to us! The bus boy was nothing but nice and apologetic.

Being here was a waste of time!

Literally stopped by, parked and entered hungry. We snatched the last steak they had in kitchen, and ordered pasta. Steak was exceptional while pasta was nothing to brag about, but overall experience was positive. Staff was super nice and discretely attentive. Just perfect.

Overall dinner was nice. A few things could have been improved. Service was slow they had only two servers and one was the owner. Took awhile to get drinks. They had no veal (which was about 1/3 of their entries). Fetachini pasta was blaw. House wine retail $5.99 they sold it for $55.00 per bottle. There was an extra item on the check that we never got. Like I said dinner was nice, overall food was good. They could do a little bit better. We will try it again in the future.

We had a great time celebrating my uncle’s birthday here! The food was delicious, and the owner made the night with his stories and hospitality. He surprised my uncle with tiramisu and even brought us champagne on the house — such a thoughtful touch. Highly recommend for both the food, drinks, and the authentic experience!
