Good foods

This is located in the University Circle building and can be a good place for lunch if you have to be in the building (visiting the clinics or working in the buildings). I've never seen this place overly crowded, and you'll be able to quickly get lunch. I tend to get the clam chowder, which is excellent, but also enjoy the tomato bisque if I want something lighter. They also have daily soups, which you can ask to taste, but I haven't found anything to trump my good ole clam chowder. I also got a bread bowl before for a little extra, but it ended up being too much for me to finish. I'll stick to the complementary loaf of bread. Price is on point, and I think actually cheaper than similar restaurants like Boudin. They also have a build your own salad bar, which I have heard is excellent and reasonably priced, but which I haven't tried myself yet.

Just got lunch here. I love it because it was not packed. So it was easy to go in and out. I got the tomato bisque. And it was bomb. Not too salty, not too creamy. It was delicious. I got some bread too. And the soup comes with one piece of bread. And extra pieces are .45. The bread was soft on the inside and crispy on the outside and perfect for dipping into the bisque. The prices are cheap too. This is my new lunch spot.

I had the Thai Chicken Salad from the shelves and came down with food poisoning shortly thereafter. Not only did the salad give me food poisoning, but it was bland and wasn't fresh.

This is what you would expect from such a place. The soup is consistently good and the included bread portions are generous. The staff serving is nice but the checkout clerk often can't be bothered by customers. I have had them talk in the phone the whole time I was standing and paying. Avoid the bread bowls. They are another $1.60 and don't give you much more bread than the included, generous bread slice. They also tend not to have them ready and available so you have to wait several minutes for them to cut the bread bowl. They still just put the soup in a paper cup the size you request so it does not make much sense to me. They will give you samples so make sure to take advantage of that before deciding on which soup you want.
