I have been looking for good Mexican Restaurant since moving to California 3 years ago. We happen to be in San Bruno and found Taqueria Mi Durango. As soon as we walked in we were greeted by Jose he was friendly and smiled and when I asked what his favorite was he said fish and shrimp taco so I got one each they were awesome. My boyfriend got the Birria Tacos and he said they were the best he has ever had ( and thats what he normally gets) Everything was fresh and amazing. I highly recommend stopping here for lunch or dinner. Or if you are looking for an event to be catered.

Food is good for the price. Fish and shrimp tacked are tasty and you get a good amount of food. Got it to go and the guy behind the counter was nice and courteous. They have a great salsa bar and can tell it’s fresh , very yummy! I’m sure there going to take off once people try them! Fast and convenient!

I ordered the carnitas combo plate it was $35 it was suppose to come with 1 lb pork and one pint beans and 1 pint rice and a large container of Salsa and serval tortillas. It should've been able to feed multiple people It did not come with the extra items I got one small regular plate that they probably sell for $15 it was a pick up order and I didn't notice until I got home. Super disappointed my order was so off.

Amazing hidden spot in South San Francisco! Was recommended to come here by my co-worker, and was blown away by how good the food was. Chips were tasty, salsa flavorful, and the tacos!!! Got the 3 Quesabirrias crispy combo and loved how flavorful and juicy the meat was cooked. Came out very quickly and piping hot! They also had the juiciest limes I've ever seen.... Staff had a fun sense of humor as well - overall a cozy and enjoyable joint!

Updating my review, partially because I need a reminder of what I've ordered in the past. The fish taco is my current favorite of anywhere. I get it almost every time I am here. The tripas is great here, also one of the best. I like their carnitas more than most places too. This is where the menu is confusing to me: the Mi Durango taco is both corn and flour tortilla, kind of like a double decker but cheese in between instead. It's not "or". I thought it was going to be some sort of deep fried flour or puffy taco. Still good but a little heavy for me.

They have great crispy tacos! I love the fried fish burritos here. I have not had anything bad here. The only con for me is the salsa is a little spicy for me. Nachos are excellent also

Picking up the Molcajete as a To Go for the first time. Was told to it would take 15 minutes to make, though they got it done in 24 minutes so a little bit delayed. The Molcajete as a To Go item is served in a half tray aluminum tin. It's a lot for 2 people (unless you two very hungry people). It comes with chips and several flour tortillas. You'll likely run out of flour tortillas if you are using them as Fajitas with the Molcajete, you will want to have extra flour tortillas on hand. My opinion is to also have sour cream on hand to add when consuming the Molcajete. Otherwise, it was good and filling.

The food is good, but I wouldn't do catering. I paid ahead of time for 2 trays of meat. I explained to one of the people working there that I was bringing in food for a pot luck and wanted to do some tortillas and cilantro and onion to go with the meat. I called the night of to let them know I was running late but that I was still going to pick up the food. they didn't know what I was talking about. I drove up and I had to wait for them to make the meat, didn't include any tortillas or toppings or salsa. They completely forgot! I asked if I could get at least some salsa to go with the meat, and they asked if I wanted the small single serving container sizes of salsa. Does this make any sense for close to 5 lbs of meat? I honestly just wanted to get out of there. Not much of the meat I brought was eaten since there weren't any typical taco fix in's like tortillas or onion and cilantro to go with it. I would have gladly paid more for the extra fix it's. Just stick to la tapatia for your party needs.

Came here for the first time as I was driving by and it caught my eye. I judge a taqueria on a couple of things, mainly pastor and carnitas. I decided to get 3 super tacos, two pastor and one carnitas. The pastor was decent and the carnitas was average. The problem I have is WHY do they put rice, bean, and lettuce in a taco? At this point it is a tostada. There was more rice and beans than meat. I also judge on salsa and horchata. The salsa was more like store bought stuff and the horchata was good. The chips definitively have that taqueria crunch so they were fine. All in all a 2/5 and I won't be returning.
