Friendly, elegantly set up, and good service - what's not to like? Early lunch on a weekday with a professional connection. It was almost empty (some folks came for takeout). We appreciated the flexibility on beverages, and the great flavors on both our sandwiches.

The Anecdote has a magnificently designed space and view of Oyster Point. The interior decor is reminiscent of New England rope tapestries and cushioned white-washed furniture. The dishes are above average quality California fusion cuisine, which includes the Turkey Club Sandwich, Classic Cheeseburger, Lobster & Shrimp Sandwich, Steak Tacos, Spicy Tofu Bowl, Salame Pizza, Albacore Tuna Melt, Soup of the Day (was carrot today), and salads like Quinoa Garden Bowl and Peach & Burrata Salad. When we walked in, nobody greeted us for a couple minutes, so we wandered toward some open tables before someone pointed us to a table. We chose a nicer table by the windows with a view of Oyster Point.

I ordered the pizza, which was leaking oil the moment I picked it up. It had some nice tart tomato sauce, and the crust was nice and airy, but the salame overwhelmed the pizza with its saltiness. My mom ordered the Quinoa Garden Bowl with an addition of grilled salmon. The salmon had a nice crispness. The greens had a lot of long stems and not a lot of leaf. The dressing was hardly there.

Unfortunately, the speaker pendants hanging from the ceiling were positioned directly above our table and they were blaring shrill highs without mids and lows. Made it difficult to have a conversation and relax with the music being so intrusive. They could have lowered the volume a good amount and still been able to provide ambience throughout the dining room. It's a nice place to stop by for a quick lunch if you're passing by South SF. Just wish the speakers were not as loud and we hadn't had to stand awkwardly at the front waiting to be seated.

You gotta stop if you're close by. Great food great service and great pricing! Parking is a chore but worth it in SF.

Stopped by The Anecdote at Oyster Point for some drinks and bites after work—great spot! The bar has a cool vibe with awesome bay views. I had the mushroom empanadas, sliders, and a local beer—they all hit the spot. Chill atmosphere, friendly staff, and solid bar food. Definitely a gem if you’re in the area.

Yami greeted us as soon as we walked in, she was kind and made great recommendations. We look forward to returning

Secluded, lovely location, atmosphere and easy to get there. Seems to be excellent location for office workers to have lunch. The place has lots of floor to ceiling windows with high ceilings. Two floors, spacey and lovely decor. Had 10 ladies enjoying lunch together and the service was perfect. Value for the meals was excellent. They accommodate private events, perfect for weddings, birthday, and special occasions.

This was surprising good. It's in the same building as Cytokinetics. Parking is around the corner, just grab a ticket, park on the third floor and bring your ticket to Anecdote to get validated. The Plaza is on Level zero. The place is new. Service is great even though I did take out. It's open to the public. The Steak Breakfast Burrito was pretty good, so was the Chai Latte. I took a picture of the breakfast menu, but I believe they are open for lunch and dinner.

I'll definitely come back since it has great views and it's close to work at Oyster Point.

This is a good place to grab a drink after work, but the parking has been troubled me.

Great experience. Staff was attentive, food was delicious and ambience wonderful. Big picture windows of the Bay. Parking, yada, yada, yada. The whole shebang.

Great place, with great food. But the last 3 times there the music is so loud, it is nearly impossible to have a small table discussion. Would come here more often, if they could simply turn down the music.

Fun venue for lunch in SSF at Oyster Point.

The staff gets 10 stars out of five--excellent service. Nice wine. Delicious mushroom empanada. Beware, however, of the 'fish sticks'. They're actually full fried fish minus the head. Bones and tails. Not at all what I was expecting, and if you didn't like fishy fish, not a good option. It should be called 'fried fish' instead of 'fish sticks'. Overall, a great experience, but the fish left me feeling a bit nauseous.

The restaurant's ambiance is that of a classy restaurant. The upstairs has a bar area that has a great view of the bay. The bar itself is very upscale and elegant. The downstairs dining room is elegant and inviting. Glass windows from floor to ceiling allow great natural light. The food was very good. The poke bowl was fresh and had a nice combination of tuna and fresh veggies on a bed of rice. Try their homemade hot sauce with it. The Caesar salad was fresh with anchovies included. The salmon was added to the Caesar and was cooked very well. Not dry, as it can be. Overall, a great spot for lunch. They're open Tuedays and Thursdays for happy hour 3-7, however, not for dinner. Probably as it is in a business district.

My coworker and I visited Anecdote for lunch and had a fantastic time. We enjoyed the **Ahi Tuna Poke Bowl**, with ahi tuna, steamed rice, and spicy mayo, and the **Summer Quinoa Bowl**, which my vegetarian coworker found both refreshing and filling. The meal was delicious, and we can’t wait to go back!
