Chicama Peruvian Restaurant Stanton

Chicama brings that bold, coastal Peruvian flavor straight to Stanton with dishes that hit you with freshness and comfort in every bite. The ceviche is bright and zesty, the lomo saltado comes out sizzling with tender steak and perfectly seasoned fries, and the arroz chaufa has that addictive wok kissed flavor you can’t stop eating. Portions are generous, prices are fair, and the staff treats you like family from the moment you walk in. A solid spot when you’re craving authentic Peruvian food done right.

The fish ceviche was delicious;however, the beef Lomo saltado was average. In fact,it was too salty and had NO tomatoes. Also, a little pricey for it was a small quantity of food. The beef Lomo saltado was too small for $21. The cashier was extremely helpful and MAY return because the young lady was informative. Expensive

This Peruvian restaurant in Stanton is under new management, and it’s seriously next level. The new menu and fresh flavors really shine, and you can tell everything is made fresh in-house.

I started with the empanadas (beef and chicken), and they were perfectly crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside. What really took them over the top was their homemade sauce — absolutely delicious and full of flavor.

The star of the meal was the lomo saltado. Easily one of the best I’ve ever had. The beef was tender, the flavors were bold, and everything was cooked perfectly. I also tried the lomo saltado with noodles, and wow — that version was just as amazing and packed with flavor.

They even have Inca Kola straight from Peru, which is always a great touch, and their Peruvian desserts were the perfect way to end the meal.

If you’re looking for authentic Peruvian food with fresh ingredients and great flavors, this spot is a must-try. I’ll definitely be back and highly recommend checking it out.

Ownership changed, welcoming with the curtains drawn open and a few tables removed for a warm friendly ambiance.

Traditional meals served hot and fresh, with well seasoned spices.

Compliments for a job well done.

The food was great and the server was so attentive and nice. The Lomo Saltado was so good (a little bit salty) but the rest was tasty. Highly recommend it!!

Worst ceviche I had in my life. Frozen and ice on the fish, not real lemon.

Honest Review:

I'll start by saying the food here is amazing! You can never go wrong with any choice. Somethings that aren't to great are the pricing as it might be a couple of bucks more expensive than other places as well as other peruvian places I have been to sometimes give complimentary bread and a small soup as here you would have to pay extra for that. The other downside is the parking is horrible, there is about maybe only 16 parking spots (estimating) but half are probably taken by the workers from neighboring stores. So sometimes I can't get a spot or I have to park across the street or elsewhere. Not their fault, but just a heads up about the location wise.
