I really wanted to give this place more stars but I couldn't. I went three times to make sure. I tried three of their banh mis and their regular pho. Two of the sandwiches had really dry meat (chicken and bbq pork) and their pho was bland. The only thing I liked was their special banh mi. I'd go back for one especially given the price

Visited for lunch a couple weeks back. I love supporting small businesses and thought Mama K's would be a great place to do so. I can only say good things about the food and the peanut dipping sauce was out of this world for the spring rolls. The one thing that has been not sitting well with me was how I was charged. I paid $20 for a combination pho and spring rolls. I felt that this was a bit overpriced, so I asked for a breakdown of the items. The lady who rang me up appeared to approximate the prices, but the bill wasn't itemized so I would never know. I looked on the menu available in store and it did appear that I had been overcharged a bit. I was trying to decide if the tip percentage could have been the reason why it was much more than what I thought I should have paid...but it did not appear to be that way. Overall, great experience minus the lack of clarity regarding the bill.

Never come back here again I love to support the small business but this time is something wrong. I got the Bun Bo Hue which is spicy beef noodle, my bf got the grilled pork noodle then because it's open kitchen so I saw the lady throw the eggroll inside the fryer with her bare hand . It's still ok until they bring the food out . Now it's the problem here . The soup only have noodles and several slice of beef but I think the beefs r older than me, I can't even chew it, my jaws tired for chewing the fking meat, even got stuck in middle of my throat . How the hell. The owner gotta do something. U got no respect for customers and got no respect for Vietnamese food too . And the meat of the grilled pork noodles so fking colored , how it can be orange. If u have no taste please don't open a restaurant.

We ordered pho, bun and pork spring rolls. All were excellent. Pork was exceptionally tasty! The pho broth was rich and delicious. First time there. I’d go back again

Unfortunately we both got food poisoning and are still very sick days after eating here.

The atmosphere of this restaurant is like a mom and pop store, very small and cozy with minimal decoration. The food was okay, but the prices was good for the portion size. I ordered vermicelli which was pretty good. As I mentioned before, great portion size with good amount of pork and one hot eggroll. Interestingly though, my vermicelli did not come with the sweet sauce (may be they forgot?) that every other store will give when eating this dish. My friend ordered well-done pho. The beef was definitely VERY WELL-DONE as to the point of being dry. Her soap broth tasted sweet like onion, not much meat flavor in it Overall, not complaining about the food with the price we paid.

Everything is good from Chicken or Beef Pho, to the Bun rice bowl, Com Ta rice plates, Spring rolls, Egg rolls, to the yummy Banh Mi subs, and I try a different drink every visit. Best local Vietnamese in Anaheim.

The taro tacos are yummy, my favorite of the four options available was the pork. Huge shoutout to Tammy, our server, she was so delightful, patient and attentive. She made sure our first time visiting this restaurant was pleasant and felt well-taken care of.

Pho was just like in the pictures and was amazing. Just ordered the plain beef pho tai with added beef ball, good quality on the food all around. Pho broth taste was definitely above average and very delicious! Nice little restaurant, recommend this place.

i'll be honest, for the area and the demographic , it's okay americanized noodles , not very authentic , bland not the right meats in the bun bo hue (pork blood, pork hoc, oxtail or been beef shank ) like i said it's okay for the area that this place resides in but compared to bolds, does not stand a chance

Support the small local businesses! Don't judge if things don't meet your expectations. Every place is different. Food is good. I liked their banh mi although a bit dry bread it is healthier with less butter. I love how the chop the veggies thinner than other banh mi places and chicken is shredded. Pho was ok. Bun rieu has its good and bad days. You can tell how fresh thr soup is. Egg rolls are awesome. I will come back!

I walked here from the motel down the street about a half mile since the 4 star review seemed promising. Got there about 30 mins before closing, so I ordered to go of course. Ordered Pho Ga (chicken pho), and it took a while to make, like 15ish mins which is a bit unusual but I don't mind waiting a bit longer for good food. I went out and stood out front to wait and for some reason both the employees keep glaring at me as they were walking around doing their closing procedures. Anyway, when I got my food I asked the gentleman if there was hoisin and chili sauce in the bag and he said yes to both the 2 questions. When I got back to my motel I found that there was one tiny container of hoisin sauce that was a little bit spiced, like there was a 15% mixture of chili sauce in there. Unfortunately it wasn't enough to do anything to salvage thise pho-colored-hot-water. It smells and tastes like almost nothing. It was so flavorless that for a moment I thought I may have lost my senses of smell and taste from covid. But no, it's just really watery bland stock. Pho is one of my favorite meals. I've made it from scratch many times and even when I made it poorly it came out much better than this, no anise or ginger flavor, no depth of umami from fish sauce or anything else. Once I poured the hoisin in it just tasted like sweetened hot water. Once I started digging into the chicken I realized there is about 4oz of chicken, most connective bits, and more than half the pieces were covered in skin or fat or had ligaments attached. Additionally it was obviously boiled and not with any salt or seasoning, and thoroughly overcooked so it fell apart in a really unpleasant way, like sorta chalky. Ugh. I've paid more for Pho many times, this was about $11, but it's always been really good when I paid that much. Maybe they're just having a bad day? I was having a bad day today and really wanted some pho to help me feel better. But I guess it wasn't my day! Hopefully their other food is better or this was just a one off garbage meal, but I won't risk another $11 to find out.

Mom and pop run banh mi sandwiches and plates. My Mexican mom loves their egg sandwiches as a better alternative to McDonalds breakfast, and the taste is really good One star off only because dining inside is limited due to COVID19.

Not sure what happen to this place , I use to love eating here now this place doesn't taste the same . Pho has a weird smell to it , meat is cut unevenly some are thick some are thin . To be honest I really want to support small businesses but restaurant doesn't feel clean , food don't taste the same as before , and service is terrible . No condiments or water I understand the self serve but at this point they don't care about customer service.
