My BFF and I were meeting for lunch but I needed to be somewhere else close by. We found Tacos Puro Jalisco 2 online, on the corner of Cerritos and Western. I can only rate the tortas we had but they were pretty filling and tasty. Menu price was $8.75 with 5 standard meat choices. I had al pastor and bestie had asada. We only finished half because they were pretty good size. You'd have to be fairly hungry to finish the whole torta. They're served with ample sides of red and green chile, radish and peppers. She had horchata and I had Jamaica of course ?.The place itself used to be a different Mexican food place and before that a burger joint several years ago. It is not fancy by any means and the tables and benches are worn as well. It is a familiar neighborhood eatery slightly bigger than a hole-in-the-wall with enough parking for a minor lunch rush. But we didn't go for the atmosphere and were pretty satisfied with the very friendly service by the cook who also cashiered us.We were so busy catching up that I forgot to take pics of my torta and the surroundings. But if you want good food at more than affordable prices head over to Tacos Puro Jalisco 2. I don't regret it a bit.Parking: Disabled parking right in front with plenty more parking to the side and rear.

Had some menudo, was good, not great. Had some tacos of various kinds, could have used a little more seasoning, was a bit bland overall. We were there pretty early so maybe things weren't quite ready yet. Maybe I'll try again one day, but I've had better in the area.

Don’t know if this place is racist or just honestly can’t speak English but I tried to order Birria tacos and the girl and guy in there said they didn’t have them. The girl had a terrible attitude from the start. Horrible service and they lie to any new customer trying to grab a bite to eat. Don’t recommend any new people try this out. Especially if you don’t speak Spanish.
