My husband was craving Teppanyaki so we came to Yamato on a Saturday night and it was pretty crowded but since we really just wanted the food and didn’t necessarily want to see the “show” we were seated pretty quickly at a nice spacious booth. The servers were very friendly and attentive. We got the hibachi steak and shrimp and the hibachi steak and scallops which were both delicious. When there is a special event in our family such as a birthday, Yamato's Japanese Restaurant has been our go to place. I believe the management has been switched up and even though most of the employees were very nice it felt as if it was everyone’s first day on the job. looks like almost everyone is new staff. They were surprisingly busy on Super Bowl Sunday but constantly asking for basic essentials multiple times like napkins, utensils, soy sauce, etc. was a bit surprising...
We love taking our family to Yamato. We live out of state but try to make it in whenever we are in town. We were sat and served quickly. The cooks always put on a great show, our kids love it. Our favorites are the filet and chicken, and fried rice.
