The entire place smelt like egg wash eggy raw chicken. I almost walked back out but I was coming from a long drive. I got a bagel sandwich and they didn’t salt anything so it had no flavor, but aside from that I asked if I could refill my 12oz coffee thermos, they said yes and when I waited for them to give me a price they acted like they weren’t gonna charge me for it bc it’s not specialty coffee, it’s just the kind already made and put into their thermos, and they charged me $3 for it. I thought they’d charge me a buck for a small refill.
The last bagel shop I went to gave it to me on the house.

Looked for a place to stop by for lunch while on jury duty since I’ve never really eaten downtown before. This neat little place was only like a 3 minute walk from the courthouse.
Vietnamese Sandwich (Banh Mi):
Definitely worth a try if you’ve never had banh mi.
The bread was nice and crunchy on the outside but still super soft and fluffy on the inside and easy to chew. I had the chicken and pork chop to try both. Pork chop was pretty good, tender, a bit chewy, decent vietnamese marinaded pork flavor. There was no daikon which is disappointing for me. I also did not like the thickness of the cucumber, a bit overpowering. The mayo they used tastes like regular hellman’s or something. Otherwise decent quality and fresh tasting for about $7 each plus tax. I did not really care for the chicken because it didn’t have a lot of flavor. The amount of meat ratio and quality for the price for both is so-so, especially compared to bigger names like Huong Lan but I know this isn’t their focus. I would come again though because it’s so convenient at the courthouse. Even at these prices a banh mi is so worth it and filling for a lunch.
Thai Iced Tea:
CRAZY sweet. Probably the sweetest I’ve ever tasted. I would ask for half sugar, if possible, for a normal sane person. Other than that, crazy good value at $3.50.
Everything Bagel:
This was really lackluster and a bit tough for me, but I’m aware I’m getting a bagel at noon, meaning it may have been sitting there since the early morning. It had a flavor like it absorbed the aromas of the shop from sitting out a while. I also had it plain to taste it for a good grasp of the quality of bagel. $2

Y'all, when I tell you I found this little bagel store when going walking around with coworkers in 2019 on our lunch break cause they heard they had Vietnamese coffee and Thai tea. When I tell you I had brought like 10 Sandwiches to try and NONE OF THEM MISSED. I come here every chance I get. 10/10 It's totally worth your money and time. The people are so sweet here❤️ Also try the breakfast croissant sandwich. 1. I LOVE BREAKFAST and 2. THAT SANDWICH IS TO DIE FOR! It's just Mwah! Chef's kiss. Anyways visit the Bagel Cafe downtown. 100% worth it! ☺️

Stopped here after running errands downtown, seems like a nice little place but got over charged for a smoothie and two beagles we waited for about 10 minutes, got the beagles but the cashier says we never paid for our smoothie. When breaking down our charges, he says the smoothie was not included and the extra $6 not accounted for was for tax. When asking for a receipt, he says he was unable to provide one. Never coming here again. Poor customer service.

Cheap they skimp on Lox bagel.Skimpy onion tomatoes and other items.
A friend brought me here. We got bagel sandwiches with cheese and bacon. The eggs were so fluffy & good. It reminded me of how my grandma used to make them. Thai tea is very good. Better than a lot of tea shops around here. Very kind & welcoming owners that feel like family.

I absolutely love this place. Friendly owner/staff, yummy food, prepared fresh, and they don't skimp.
One of the best sandwich places in stockton. The teriyaki sandwich is my favorite. Always fresh. With great customer service. ?
Delicious banh mi. Portions are generous
A fun and exciting atmosphere, I highly recommend this place if you're a tourist or local.
