I was raised in Atlanta and grew up with amazing southern home cooking. Besides a few places in Oakland and SF, I rarely come across soul food and it’s usually just not as good as what I grew up with.
Chase’s fried fish is incredible, and I say that with all my heart! Fresh as could be, with that perfect crunchy batter, without any fishy taste and not over cooked or burnt in any way. Me and my band enjoyed every piece without a single bone to be found. I don’t say this often, but it was a 10/10!!! This is the kind of food that takes generations to perfect, Chase you are doing it right!!
We were at Pear Fair in Courtland playing music at the festival and his food truck was right next to the stage. We kept wondering what was smelling so darn good. I even got to meet him and thank him personally for bringing me back home! Do yourself a favor and look out for that truck and support this business!

Yummers! I love this place! I don't live in the area but whenever I'm in town, It's on the list! The fried chicken & fish are my faves. Whatever that seasoning is they sprinkle on it is a party in my mouth! The staff are super friendly. Sometimes there is a wait but food is cooked to order and piping hot so that is to be expected. Can't wait until I'm in the area again! ?

Food was bomb! Fried chicken wings were WHOLE and fried to perfection. Fish was crispy and well seasoned. And you can't go wrong with steak fries. Bang bang was super good, like REALLY good. That lemon cake tho?!? Reminded me of church, need one of those on Thanksgiving. I will definitely be coming back

I don't know of any comparison that can come even close in San Joaquin county.
The quality is easily in the same tier as Sacramento's Fixin Soul Kitchen. On this basis, the food is very reasonably priced. Expect to wait as if the food is actually being cooked at a restaurant and you won't be disappointed.
