This was the first restaurant our family went to after buying our home in Stockton. Through the change in ownership China Village has remained consistent with the food and as a staple for our dining pleasure.

20+ years ago I departed the Bay Area to join the army and travel the world. I also departed with a set standard for how chinese food should taste! Imagine the tragedy of constant lack luster chinese food no matter the city, state or country! For over 20 years I was constantly disappointed in the so called chinese food wherever I traveled. It was truly an amazing surprise to finally come home and the very first chinese restaurant I try is a perfect example of my childhood memories filled with pork fried rice, Kung poa chicken and pot stickers! I can really feel as if I've returned home. I only wish I had a bigger stomach to try all my old favorites like foil wrapped chicken, hot and sour soup and many many more! A big thanks to this chinese hot spot that I will be claiming as my go to for excellent chinese cuisine!

I came here on an Instagram recommendation to try the Mongolian beef and I have to say it is the best Mongolian beef I've ever had. This is my first time here, usually don't travel to this side of the town for food but I will definitely be taking my family here.

The food here is incredible. The decor is dated, but that is easily overlooked by the food and service. Definitely worth a try!

First time and the food is not that good .
I placed a to go order and the lady who took my order was rude catching an attitude because I was asking to many questions about their food portions.
I explained that it was my first time ordering from them, it meant nothing .
Mind you she got my order wrong and it was about $80 bucks.
I rather spend that much at Yen Du !

Mongolian beef- ok. A bit heavy on the oyster sauce, so has a slight seafood flavor. (Or they just didn't clean the pan between dishes). No dried red chili - so unfortunately not spicy .
Veg chowmein good flavor but large noodles, and very few veg.
S&S Chicken: ordered w/out green peppers and it was almost all chicken- barely any onions and no pineapple Over cooked and not much flavor. Similar to frozen dinner from grocery store.
Mu shu pork: good, needs more hoisin sauce for pancakes.
Crab rangoon: good filling but didn't like the vessel. Prefer the crimped wonton shape.
Ants climbing on trees: good flavor and spice level; reminds me of Thai beef lettuce cups, but with Chinese seasonings.
Overall the service was very good and the food is not bad.
Still looking for great.
Wheelchair accessibility: No handicap spots or ramps.

This is a must have if you are in the 209. Best Chinese food I have tried since moving here. I have tried the war of wonton soup, the general chicken, spicy shrimp. Every thing here is the best and it's locally owned and operated by the owners. So tip well because they deserve it. The food and service has sooo much love in it.

my shrimp a vegetables were good, but I also ordered the spicy chicken wings and they were so overcooked. I could barely eat them and didn’t have a lot of toppings on it. That’s one of my favorite dishes, but not like that.. they brought them way later than our food, which makes me suspect they left them in the fryer
