If you pay $26 for two hot dogs and a soda then we have an issue. The food was good but what can you wrong making a hot dog. It’s insane. No more hot dogs at this place.

I used to go here quite a bit recently went and ordered a polish dog. I asked why it was so soft no crunch nothing was browner than my coffee looked like the dog was in there longer than a few hours . I told the lady and she was basically like oh well. Dog was mush no joke. Tried asking the guy who made it a question even though he was not even a foot away from straight up ignored me. But besides that they were good before and i did feel sick for a few days after. Ginger beard dude with tattoos was who made it and ignored it all .

Honestly, hadn't been there in years, but went because we were in the area. 1st there was no menu except on wall, so no description of what's on each item. 2nd I got the Jamaica dog with the "sauce" on side since I didn't know how it tasted. I didn't care for it, so basically I got a hot dog with mustard & tomatoes for like $8! I won't be back.

I have been going to dads for many years . This is the third and last time I will go there again my hotdog bun was stale not the same hotdogs the original owners had if they continue serving this they won't be there very long. It's such a shame for such a great establishment go into the ground I'm not the only one that feel like this I have friends who have sałd the same thing

I made a point of stopping at this location b/c I had a court appearance nearby. Dad's Hot Dogs came up when I googled "Best chili dogs in Stockton."The reputation is earned. The chili cheese dog I had was great! Plenty of chili and cheese, enough to almost cover entire the (large) dog and bun. I'm confident that if I lived in this corner of the Golden State, I'd be a (fatter) regular at this establishment.The reason I have awarded four stars rather than five is b/c of the prices. The hot dog at $8.50 was not the problem. The small bag of Lays chips ($2.25) and the small cup of soda ($2.95 for much less than you would get in a 12 oz. can) was a bit much. I know all eateries are dealing w/ food prices that have been Biden-ed recently, but considering the size of the portions, the $5+ was excessive.Adding to the quality of the meal is the late 60's-early 70's motif of the whole joint. I sat at the counter on a retro stool. Very cool!

It was our first time eating at this restaurant, I usually don't give a bad review on a restaurant because we usually come back for a second time to give it a second chance. The prices were very outrageous for a chili dog $$$ and my wife's dad's hotdog which cost $33.The hotdogs were just bland with cheese and chili, with chips and sodas. The $3 Costco hotdogs were better than these meals we had. It's a ONE and DONE deal for us.

Good hotdogs. Restaurant seems to be working on their service though. We had a not so savory experience at first but it was rectified. Dad's dog is a classic. Also recommend the Frito pie.
