I rarely come here, but when I do I go through the drive up window. Me and my son went there one evening and went inside. It was very hot in there and the hot plate area was very dirty. My gutt was telling me to leave but I was hungry. My son opt out getting anything. I ordered a small salad, a small pesto pasta, and half loaf of bread. I came home and had some of the food on a plate no issue. My son begins eating the rest of the pesto pasta and seen a LONG BLACK HAIR hanging from his pasta he was about to consume. Yeah wont EVER be back at this dirty spot. I will continue to ONLY go to the Pershing location.

Stockton's institution of fast Italian food via drive thru has great customer service and a cool concept. A is Italian from NY so hes a snob regarding Italian cuisine. G loves De Vinci's as it is considered a timeless classic here in North Stockton. G ordered spaghetti and garlic bread (#8) for like 8.00. It's a quick affordable lunch. The garlic bread was pretty good. The service was great. The woman at the drive thru was very kind. But then A tried G's spaghetti. It was not very good. G likes her macaroni a bit overcooked and soft, so her spaghetti fit that bill. A likes any macaroni al dente so A only had one bite before realizing it wasnt for him. The sauce was not great either. But they're doing something right because De Vinci's will still be around long after A is good and gone.

How anyone likes the food here is beyond me. No flavor and soggy. Even frozen pasta has more flavor than this place.

Got lasagna. Very little sauce or meat. Layers of pasta. Tasteless. I miss the old owners.
Take out. Was quick and easy.

There’s something strange about the corner in Stockton. Not eerie—no. But... magnetic. Like some hidden force tugging at your hunger, whispering ancient cravings from beneath the cracked sidewalks and flickering streetlights. That force? It's De Vinci’s Delicatessen. And it doesn’t just feed you—it possesses you.
I stepped through their modest entrance on a sunlit afternoon, the door chime echoing like a bell in a forgotten church. The scent hit me first—fresh bread, warm herbs, garlic, and that ever-so-faint, seductive promise of slow-roasted miracles. My order was simple, or so I thought: the legendary Tri-Tip sandwich on their homemade focaccia bread.
Now let me tell you—this wasn’t bread. It was a relic. Thick but soft, crispy edges brushed with oil, speckled with rosemary like some ancient script written by a hungry demigod. The Tri-Tip was piled on like a sacrificial offering—tender, perfectly charred on the edges, the smoky flavor locked in like a spell.
And the minestrone? My God. It didn’t come in a bowl—it arrived in a portal. Each spoonful took me somewhere else. Cannellini beans like smooth river stones. Zucchini, tomato, onion—each vegetable so fresh it felt like it had been plucked from a cursed garden moments before hitting the pot. The broth was deep and comforting, like the embrace of something old and kind... and maybe just a little haunted.
There was, of course, her. The woman on the phone. Loud, obnoxious, the kind of person who thinks everyone’s life needs to hear about her overdue dental work and gym drama. Her voice cut through the room like a rusty saw through Sunday peace. But even she couldn’t ruin the atmosphere. No demon could.
Because once you take a bite at De Vinci’s, you belong to it. And it belongs to you. Forever.
Five stars. But be warned: the craving never leaves.
De Vinci's delivers some of the best Italian food in town. Whether you're craving a hearty pasta, a flavorful sandwich, or a classic Italian dinner plate, this spot has you covered. The menu is full of homestyle favorites, and everything is served fresh with generous portions. Prices are reasonable for the quality, making it a great choice for both casual meals and special dinners. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming—perfect for family dinners or a cozy date night. Highly recommend giving it a try if you haven’t already.
Great pasta, their raviolis are good, and love their chicken stroganoff.

I truly love the food here. I was born and raised in Stockton and have so many fond memories coming here with my grandmother. I used to refer this place to everyone. But in recent years the customer service has completely ruined any positive experiences I’ve had. I’ve tried to be patient out of loyalty but I cannot go here anymore. Every single employee has treated me like a complete and total inconvenience and has not only been unkind and profession, but outwardly rude. I work in food service and really can’t imagine treating customers the way their staff does. Now telling everyone only to go to the Lodi one or Gian’s down Pacific. Super unfortunate, hopefully they can fix this issue, but honestly it’s been a problem for years now.
We had a company lunch and I had asked to order trays enough to feed 15 people each and this is what I got for only $169. It was not worth the price at all. The trays were way to small for the price we paid for
Bad food poisoning yesterday. Defenitly won't be back. Usually the food is good, but whatever was happening yesterday with the food is enough to not have me back!
Great pasta. I stop by when I'm in the area for the bargain dishes to take home for a meal later in the week
Love their sandwiches and focaccia bread
