Some staff are super nice, but there’s a couple that just aren’t a ā€œpeople person.ā€ Last time I went 2 of the staff were talking while they made my White Chocolate Mocha, started to make it with the wrong milk option and then caught herself and remade it… only this time she made it without the white chocolate, so I had a plain latte. Super distracted.
I’ll just make my coffee at home.

I came on a Saturday morning, and the girls at the front talk to each other and do not acknowledge the customers. I always wanted to try this place but based on the customer service I don’t think I’ll be returning. I never saw the gen z stare until today at this coffee shop. They need better training. As I ordered my items I felt like a bother and I was interrupting their conversation.

I’ve been a customer at Empresso Coffeehouse for a while and had previously enjoyed stopping by for my usual coffee. Unfortunately, my recent experience has left me feeling disappointed and disrespected enough to take my business elsewhere.

During my last visit, I was overcharged for my drink. When I calmly asked for clarification, the employee who took my order — a young woman with brown curly hair — responded in a rude and aggressive manner. I was respectful in my approach, simply seeking to understand the pricing, but she quickly became snappy and defensive, accusing me of speaking to her inappropriately. This reaction was completely uncalled for and left me taken aback.

What made matters worse was returning a few days later, only to witness this same employee talking to another worker about the previous incident. They were clearly discussing me, turning to look at me and making it obvious. That kind of behavior is not only unprofessional, it’s juvenile and uncomfortable for any customer to witness.

I expect a certain level of basic courtesy and professionalism, and unfortunately, this location has failed to provide that. I’ve since found another local coffee spot that not only serves great drinks but also treats customers with genuine respect. I won’t be returning to Empresso Coffeehouse, and I hope management addresses these concerns for the sake of future customers.

Mediocre iced mocha for 6 bucks. Rude service as all the previous reviews suggest. No AC inside. Thinking I'd be able to do some work on my laptop, I realized working in 100° inside isn't ideal. Outside is no better of course. I should have believed the reviews.

Every time I come to Empresso thinking it will change and it never does. I think i'm officially done coming here.

Staff is incredibly rude, doesn't acknowledge customers and give attitude. Air conditioning has been out for over a year and it's unbearable to sit inside. Really disappointing. Used to love Empresso when it was on Miracle Mile..it's gone downhill.

The coffee here is really good, but my wait was a bit long, especially with the line out the door. Peak hours aren’t the best time to visit if you’re in a hurry.

Used to be pretty good, now they are obscenely overpriced. Paying 16 bucks for 2 tepid drinks is overkill. Guess they think they are so fancy taking the prices down and price gouging is okay. Avoid for bad business practices.

Came here at lunch and they were very busy and understaffed. They told me 10-15 minutes for my coffee. Waited 20 minutes and had to leave without my coffee otherwise I would have been late for work. Never received coffee or refund šŸ¤·ā€ā™€ļø the manager should be staffing better or opting out of DoorDash/uber when they are so busy.

It’s nice that they’re open late. I just can’t say the food or drinks are impressive. Tried Mexican Mocha, Bluenana smoothie, a panini, and a Pistachio syrup coffee (green something?) and they were all mediocre to bad. Favorite was the pistachio coffee.

Ask for the Mexican mocha to be less sweet if you get it. Wayyyyyy too sweet normally.

Staff are alright, seem like they don’t want to be there though lol.
