I recently visited this coffee shop while running errands nearby, and I gotta say, it was a pleasant little spot. The place has a cozy vibe, with a few comfy chairs and some local art on the walls. I tried their caramel latte and it was pretty good—smooth and not too sweet. The staff were friendly and didn’t seem rushed even though it was kinda busy. The only minor thing I noticed was that the pastries looked a bit plain, but overall, it was a nice experience. I’d probably come back if I’m in the area again.

I’ve been going to Empresso since they were in the Empire Theater (back in my day type shii). This location is terrible. Ordered espresso, some of the worst I’ve ever had. First, my double shot was puny, I felt ripped off just for the dismal size of the shots. It smelled bitter, tasted even worse. I threw it away instead of torturing myself.

Aside from tasting espresso I wouldn’t give to my worst enemy, the service was lacking, to put it politely. Idk if it’s because they’re going after an artsy coffee house vibe but not a single person was.. personable.. I only come back to town to visit and I’ll take this location off my list. Not worth it.

Place needs a good deep cleaning. Dust everywhere. The pineapple mango drink was ok. The turkey bacon ranch panini is a different story. Bread was toasted, all the ingredients were refrigerator COLD. Cheese you can tell didnt melt. I mean what the heck! Nasty. Cashier was friendly.

I love going to get my coffe here whenever I'm around the area or when I'm coming back home from work, the Baristas are very friendly and the service is always great.
I love that, there is an outdoor area with plenty of space to hang out and enjoy a cold drink or a hot coffee

Ordered 5 drinks and a sandwich; coffee was good but the attitude from the barista made it a negative experience. I understand that they had a lot of orders so we were patient about the wait, and I had to order a complicated but not really complicated drink because I’m pregnant and like a strong coffee flavor so I asked for a decaf latte with a shot of regular espresso( I’m allowed a bit of caffeine) and as we are sitting in front of the barista bar, the barista was talking smack saying “hasn’t anyone heard of half calf before?” Yes, sir, I have heard of half calf but I ordered that last time only for my drink to be super milky and I barely can taste the coffee, hence why I order the way I do. Also watching the interactions with those barista and other customers really did not convince me to want to come back as I could tell it was not just me who was getting such negativity. If you want to be snobby and rude maybe work in a cafe that doesn’t have you on display, people/customers are allowed to ask questions or order complicated things because that is what we pay the extra fees for. There is no need for making someone feel stupid for being picky or asking questions, especially if they are not being rude about it either. If you can’t be polite and answer simple questions or address concerns maybe get a back of the house job where you don’t have to have so many interactions with people. I Will no longer be come back to this location that’s for sure, definitely left a bad taste for this place.

I’ve been coming here for years on and off never had any issues. Today I got a large and small coffee and the small was fine but the large wasn’t filled all the way and was mainly big chunks of ice the straw wouldn’t even fit in there. The sandwiches I got the bagel was okay but the other breakfast sandwich was disappointing and disgusting looking and sloppy. I don’t except much but it could be better. When calling out my name the worker said “mia Mya or however you say it” honestly disappointed cause I’ve never had an issue coming here and this was the first time in years. Spent $31 here’s when honestly I could’ve made this way better at home! Too expensive to get bad service.

Hello,

I usually have great experiences at your location, but unfortunately, my recent visit was very disappointing. I ordered two paninis with jalapeños, but the jalapeños were not added. My order was ready, yet no one called my name, and I waited about 20 minutes before realizing it was sitting there.

By the time I received my order, my coffee was watered down from the melted ice, and the overall experience was frustrating. I’ve always enjoyed coming here, but this visit left me very dissatisfied and hesitant to return.

I wanted to share this feedback so it can be addressed for future customers.

Some staff are super nice, but there’s a couple that just aren’t a “people person.” Last time I went 2 of the staff were talking while they made my White Chocolate Mocha, started to make it with the wrong milk option and then caught herself and remade it… only this time she made it without the white chocolate, so I had a plain latte. Super distracted.
I’ll just make my coffee at home.
