Helped out my pal Beaver Slapnpacker get the permits he needs for his new store, Slapnpacker's Slippery Slope, right there on Pacific Avenue not far from Gian's Delicatessen. He should do a great business with that location, but he tells me it's not the location that counts, it's what you're selling that matters the most. Well, I'm not going to tell you what he's selling, but I'm sure glad about Gian's Delicatessen....WOW! What a great place for a sandwichs, they were Amazing! 5 stars ☆☆☆☆☆

Traditional Italian Deli (or at least from what I can gather from my travels). Good meats ranging from Mortadella to your basic Turkey. ***Make sure to bring cash with you***Vegetarian options: You would have to ask tbhParking: Plenty of parking so make sure to arrive early if you can.

Gian's is the best little Italian Deli. They've been around forever through thick and thin in this economy.Fabulous sandwiches and really good potatoe salad. They have an amazing amount of shelves full of specialty foods to take home. And stock up on some homemade frozen raviolis and sauce for your next family event!Parking: Parking is always available.

It's cash only and they have an ATM machine in case you forget like I did. They made me a vegan sandwich with roasted veggies which was delicious. All you have to do is ask. Great customer service.Vegetarian options: Just ask

We were down on the Miracle Mile after Christmas shopping and came across this Italian Deli (side note it was also featured on Diner, Drive Ins & Dives). I enjoyed a slice of the pizza which was very good until I had a bite of my daughter's sandwich her sandwich was awesome #5 it was delicious. The service was quick and friendly and the deli its self is cute. They also sell meats, cheeses lots of Italian goodies!

Outstanding! I first had a sandwich at a school that hosted a basketball tournament in Stockton and I loved it. It's been a while but I remember somehow figuring out where it was. The next year I was at a different school for a basketball tournament so I drove my bus to Gian's and found a place to park across the street. It was the definitely the right place and it was delicious! I highly recommend it if your looking for a delicious sandwich.Deli Meats Deli Sandwich

First thing first.. it's CASH ONLY which sucks if u use their ATM w/ $3.95 fee. That should be posted somewhere boldly (I didn't see it if so).Normally I go to Genova, but wanted to try Gian's and see what they had to offer.Nice size deli, but kinda empty with assortment of meats/cheeses as other sized deli's. I came for the pesto pasta on Wednesday (pesto pasta day) but was informed that they had it day before (schedule change that week). So I tried a sandwich.I had the #10 on ciabatta bread. It was mid.The combination didn't wow me at all, it was kinda basic & bland for a sandwich.I purchased Gian's pesto but haven't tried it yet.I'll return to try the pasta lunch special but will not order sandwiches. I'll stick to Gen for those.

I've eaten here twice in the last few weeks. First time I had the sliced pork tenderloin sandwich on a French roll that would probably equate to shoe leather. Second time I ordered their Italian sausage sandwich. I may be spoiled because I've tasted Italian sausage from the Midwest as well as my family's homemade Italian sausage but this is the first time I've had Italian sausage, if you can call it that, without fennel and very little seasoning or spices. There's a guy, Angelo Devenchensi(sp) who has a trailer he sets up on 8 mile road and 99. His sausages is a courser grind than I like but it's authentic in flavor. Even the Greeks make a better sausage. The service was okay. The ambiance was that of a small store with a deli counter setup inside. I can't think of any reason this place would have been featured in Guy Fieri's show. After two disappointments I won't return a third time.
