This restaurant is truly a hidden gem of Stockton, not only in taste but in price as well. Too many sushi places tend to raise their prices to match “inflation”. And was not crazy busy for a Friday night!?!
But somehow someway this place defies the times/odds of rising prices.
Being affordable does not even hinder the quality of taste in the sushi. Superb in every sense of the word. I could not tell you if every item (which there is a lot of options to choose from) on the menu was delicious. But what I can tell you is the ninja roll and spicy crab roll was delectable and scrumptious. The appreciative and kind waitress who served us was very informed about their menu and helped my wife choose the right roll/item on the menu which she was pleasantly surprised how delicious her spicy California roll and monster roll was for the low cost of 11$ for each.
If I had to actually give a critique or criticism it would be that our order was slow to our table (30mins) but if feeling peckish or hangry I would recommend chicken karaage appetizer, they also have plenty of other options for apps. Inside is beautiful and easy on the easy with its dark red/ warm colors tones make you feel cozy and warm definitely a vibe where you can be calm and relaxed, a lil warning would be it is small so maybe not a large party would not benefit much inside.
If you are sushi fan and or want a nice dinner with a loved one (or date that won’t break the bank) this would be a go to for sure.

Hana Sushi is definitely a hidden gem! The owner, Melissa, is so kind, humble, welcoming, and incredibly talented. The first time I walked into the restaurant I was taken aback by the beautifully decorated space. I later learned that this is a family owned business and Melissa’s husband designed the space himself! Their daughter is attentive and accommodating, and she really makes sure that customers have an extraordinary experience.
I ordered too much food and finished it all! I even was tempted to order more! Each time a new dish came out of the kitchen for another customer, I wanted to try it! EVERY SINGLE THING LOOKED DELICIOUS!
I will definitely come back. If you love sushi, I highly suggest that you support this family owned business!

Dear owner, I've been a loyal customer for more than ten years. I grew up with your restaurant and have seen staff come and go. I chose to eat at your restaurant during covid to support local businesses and always left our table clean so it saddens me to write this review. Today, we wanted to try your mango and green tea cheesecakes and was told that there was only green tea. But when another customer came in to order and asked for mango cheesecake, there was one more left. The same server said no to mango for us and yes to mango for another, it was very hurtful that it happened. I wish you the best but please train your current staff to uphold your reputation that made us loyal in the first place.

My family as enjoyed Hana Sushi for many years. Our very favorite meal is a family dinner served on a wooden "boat". It is very impressive to see and it is a great value. The owners are warm and welcoming and the boat is the best of all the rest!!!!!
