M & W Dutch American Bakery

I will never do business at this place again. A cake was order for a coworker baby shower and the cake was not what we ordered. We weren’t offered a discount or our money back . The manager was not around and we are unsatisfied. I work for the county and will not be order any longer from M & W. The pictures really don’t do it justice. The first two are what they gave us and the last one is what we expected and ordered

Please go to this bakery. So delicious and so many cookies to choose from, not hard on the wallet either.

Pros:
- short time notice for customized cake.
- The sponge part of the cake is very good.
The cons:
I ordered strawberry & custard filling but I only got strawberry & cream.

Yuck.. I was expecting so much more from a Dutch bakery.. the rum cake had no rum flavor.. the chocolate cake with white cream filling tasted old like it sat in the fridge for weeks
. and the Russian tea cookies had no flavor at all..
I just took a bite of the cream puff bad mistake.. the cream had the consistency of shaving cream.. Nothing I ate had any sweetness to it.. All of the people that left 5 star reviews have never been to a quality bakery.. I can be this judgemental because I have been a quality baker for over 40 years.. I happened to be in Stockton visiting and wanted something sweet.. I picked this bakery because of the good reviews... I won't be finishing the rest.. All I can say is, buyer beware..

I've been coming to this bakery for years have taken nieces and nephews have taken aunts and uncles have taken all kinds of family. It is one of mine and my wife's favorite places to go definitely have to try their German chocolate. It is one of the best we've ever tasted. Definitely get there early so you don't miss out on all the desserts. Their customer service is amazing. They will explain any of the desserts to you if you have any questions or dietary restrictions. They can explain what they have in everyone. Definitely. A must try when you come here to Stockton.

Prices are definitely pricy, but here you get for what you paid for!!! Literally!!! Every single item, cake is top shelf!!! Best bakery in town!!!

The best carrot cake in 3 years living in Stockton ! I was hesitant and bought an individual slice and it was worth it. Delicious texture and flavor. I looked at different places but until now I found the right carrot cake. Thanks!

they custom made my daughters bday cake and it was beautiful. it was chocolate with cream cheese and it was delicious 😋 will definitely use this bakery again 😍
