The hours are the same time I’m at work so when I had to leave work early today to take care of something at the recorders office I told my daughter let’s go! I went in and the young lady in the little cafe was really nice! We walked in and I saw what I went in to see.. the Barrio del chivo display. It was almost closing time but she put the video on for us to see.. it’s not my era but seeing the pictures, the clothes, the motions from the city took me to a place in my culture that made me proud, sad and angry all at the same time! I will make it a point to keep going back at least to grab some coffee early in the morning, sit for a minute or two to continue embracing all that is in the gallery! Loved it! First time there but definitely not the last! :) p.s for those folks who complain about the outside.. those are the people that can’t see beyond what’s there..some parts of downtown aren’t the best but I wasn’t there to see the parking or outside building (Sutter St. side) I was there to embrace the gallery and I did!

Amazing place to visit in the heart of Downtown Stockton! They have incredible galleries and cultural events that celebrate Mexican and Native American Culture! The exhibits change out regularly and there is no cost to attend most events! Also has a small gift shop to purchase authentic cultural items as well as a coffee shop serving delicious treats! A must see place for the family when visiting Downtown!

Good coffee & Mexican pastries. Staff is always friendly. Limited selection of pastries. Now serving bagels. Coffee is good quality. Art is in the next door gallery at times featuring different artists.
