Had to wait about 25 minutes just to order drinks, I ordered a NY steak (medium rare) and was brought a VERY well done steak not once but twice (we're talking fully fully cooked through with ZERO red). Third steak was medium well, I just gave up and ate it. Steak was flavorless.
The four of us came in for dinner to celebrate a special occasion. The cocktails were okay. We did like the chicken wings, but the calamari was mediocre. Our party ordered the salmon dish and the fish-n-chips. The fish-n-chips were heavily battered and hard. Quite disappointing. Their saving grace was the outstanding service by our server, Shannon. She was friendly and attentive. I was looking forward to try out Midgley's, came home disappointed.
Walked in a few minutes before my reservation to check in . Waited 20 minutes after our reservation time asked about the table and was told to seat ourselves. Once seated was ignored till we asked for water for the table 15 minutes after siting down . Had to ask to harder drinks and finally 45 minutes into being seated got a cocktail. And another 30 minutes goes buy had to track down a waitress to order food . Food was great but just a horrible experience and the server was extremely rude Than they had the nerve to add $76 tip to our bill .
We went to dinner at Midgley's around the holidays and had a wonderful time! It was not too busy and our server was kind and attentive. We started with the calamari and it was delicious. My daughter had the steak and noodles and butter - also very tasty. My husband had the chili and he said it was full of flavor. I had the sweet chili salmon and prawns and it was so delicious! I can't wait to order it again soon. Overall, it was a great time!
Food and service were great...the half drunk folks at adjacent table pretty much ruined the ambience
Friends and I have eaten there many times and never had a problem getting separate checks - until this time! The server said she was the only one serving and couldn't comply with our request! We also felt the servings were small and the prices high. What we did get was very good, however.
Went for Thanksgiving dinner. Since had already had turkey another day, ordered prawn and salmon dinner. Salmon was delicious but prawns were rubbery and inedible. Appetizer was deviled eggs and chowder. Chowder was brought out without eggs. Had to ask for eggs when entree was served. Overall, very disappointing for a holiday meal
My family and I have been coming here for Thanksgiving for years, and it's always been one of our favorite traditions. In the past, the food has been excellent, the service warm, and the whole experience something we genuinely looked forward to each year. Unfortunately, this year was a major disappointment. The service was unusually slow and inattentive. Several of the dishes on their set menu were never delivered, even after reminding our server. We spent most of the meal waiting, and by the time we realized certain items weren't coming at all, the moment had already passed. It felt chaotic and disorganized in a way we've never experienced here before. While the few dishes we did receive were good, it didn't make up for the overall frustration—especially considering how special this outing typically is for us.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 4/5 — Great food and service, but cocktails missed the mark We had lunch at Midgley's and our server was absolutely excellent — friendly, attentive, and on top of everything. The food was great as well. We ordered the fish and chips and a hamburger, and both were delicious. The only real disappointment was the cocktail service. Our lunch arrived well before our drinks, which took away from the experience. On top of that, my wife ordered a blackberry lemon drop and it came with salt on the rim instead of sugar — not the kind of surprise you want in a sweet cocktail. Overall, great meal and fantastic server, but the bar needs to tighten things up to match the quality of the food and service.
Service was mediocre at best. Our bottle of wine came at 2/3 the way through dinner. For the price I feel the the service and atmosphere should have been better.

Came with a party of 4. Kid had mac and cheese, mom had a salad, and wife and I ordered 3 apps to share.
Wagyu slider was meh, salad was ok, other apps had issues. Wrong item was put in for one. The other app was bland and barely warm.
Mac and cheese was terrible... but kid was happy.
Not sure if they were understaffed when we came, but we were barely checked on.
Not planning on coming back.

Food was on point. The restaurant needs a remodel and the waiter was very nice but we waited almost an hour for our entrees and it didn't seem very busy. They made a couple mistakes on our order which they corrected.

Great service from seating to end of meal. Excellent food... especially the clam chowder, best I've ever had. Nice quiet seating on the patio . Highly recommend!! 5 star
