I went yesterday to buy bread and the bread was so hard like a rock I don’t recommend you guys coming here at all and specially the owner is very rude so unprofessional.

Let me start by saying I've been looking for an amazing Panadería in the 209 for a while now. This might just be the spot I've been looking for. Ordered 40 concha's for día de Los muertos for my class and they were moist, soft, and sweet! Couldn't have asked for a better concha! Highly recommend this place, and they gave us a fantastic deal of 40 concha's for 40 dollars! Also it's a small Mexican owned business, so please check them out for authentic Mexican pan dulce.

I am all about supporting small businesses so I decided to order a half sheet from this business but the moment I walked in the Bakery the older lady was very rude and told me "What do you want" in Spanish I felt the hostility right away because of her tone I proceeded to ask about her cakes when she was responding like she was in a rush and rude, practically kicking me out the door, at this point my son reached for a chocolate lollipop and she right away yelled " No, don't touch that!" I turned and saw and obviously was going to take my business elsewhere so I just simply told my son " It's ok Son we won't be getting anything here. So I said politely to her that we would be back with the details of the cake... Still being polite after her rudeness.. SMH ..RUDE TO CHILDREN. MY SON IS 4. IF MY SON WANTED THE LOLLIPOP I WOULD HAVE PURCHASED BUT FROM THE MOMENT WE WALKED IN SHE WAS RUDE ALL AROUND. DON'T SUPPORT THIS BUSINESS. PLUS SHE MENTIONED IF I ORDERED A CAKE THAT I WOULD HAVE TO BRING MY OWN DECORATIONS THAT GO ON THE CAKE ? LIKE SHE CANT EVEN PUT A HAPPY BIRTHDAY SIGN. ...

Sometimes I get lucky, and this morning we hit the jackpot when we found this little bakery. the fresh smell of bread reaches all the way to the street. there are a lot of of Mexican bread options here ranging from the traditional conchas to even croissants. They also make cakes and sell tamales. Panaderia Mejia is a excellent local bakery with a friendly owner and delicious Mexican bread. Me alegro de haber encontrado esta pequeña panadería. el olor a pan fresco llega hasta la calle. aquí hay muchas opciones de pan mexicano que van desde las tradicionales conchas hasta croissants. También hacen tortas y venden tamales. Panaderia Mejia es una excelente panadería local con un amable dueño y un delicioso pan mexicano.
Honestly I dont know where to begin, I had ordered a cake from here previously and no complaints....However this time the cake was horrendous. Nothing to do with what I had ordered when I placed my order I showed a picture to the person at the counter, I was told they would confirmed with the owner If it was something that could be made, the owner agreed that yes it was something that could be completed and was assured that they would be able to make what I had requested. My request was a naked cake for a first communion. Something Simple, and what I was given was last minute scrambled design cake. I have attached the pictures of what I requested and what was given.I have been told this is a common practice the owner does to promise something and not deliver. This is so unacceptable. I hope she understands that deceiving people is not gonna get her business far. Save your self the embarrassment I had to go through.
