I eat at Huckleberry’s at least twice a month, today however my experience was not good to the point that I did not leave a tip and feel terrible about that. I went in around noon on Sunday, I knew it would be busy. I signed in for one and was told it would be a 10 minute wait. I sat there roughly 10 minutes. Two ladies came in signed in. Apparently they knew one of the waitress and were seated a few minutes later even though I was there before them. A waiter then approached the hostess and pointed at the clipboard, the hostess told him she was not going to seat one person in a booth. So I approached the hostess that initially signed me in and inquired why the two ladies were given a booth even though I was there before them, she didn’t know and looked for the waitress who sat them. The waitress proceeded to move them to a bigger booth to seat me. I was very disappointed. I realize it was not right to leave a tip but customers should not be given preferential treatment.

This place is great with the aesthetics of being southern with all of the swamp and marsh decorations. They even play background noises of what the southern swamps would sound like too, gives it that in depth feel to it. At the same time, their food goes well with the theme of the restaurant as well and the quality is great and fair with the pricing. The service is kind, accurate, and fast as well. The only reason I didn't give a full 5 stars is the only downside is they are only open in the morning and close in the afternoon, so unfortunately you won't be able to have the experience in the evening. I still highly recommend this place to anyone, especially with the unique southern theme of the restaurant.

The bathrooms in this place were disgusting. The smell of the whole place was horrible, the waitress tried to be nice but no one was able to clean the restrooms. The food was pretty bad as well I would not recommend this place to anyone.

The theme here is really fun! It’s a comforting bayou, cozy swamp type of feel. If you sit in the main room, they even have cricket sounds lol. The server ladies and hostesses were very kind and efficient. Food came quick. Generous portions, enough to share an entree. Parking looked packed but we got seated immediately in the back for 2.Tried the chicken fried steak and Mardi Gras beignets. The CFS was dry and unremarkable. The gravy was really not good… gelatinous to a fault and undersalted. The potatoes are fine, these eggs were considered over easy but weren’t very good. The Mardi Gras beignets… now I’m no expert on legit beignets but I think.. they’re supposed to taste much better lol. These were not fluffy and pillowy, they were dense and awkward like really stale doughnuts. Could be a consequence of their massive size. It comes with some custard and different fruit jams which didn’t really make it better or worse. For reference, really enjoy the beignets from Disney’s jazz kitchen.I guess I’d be willing to try another location someday just because the atmosphere is fun, but this was not it.
