for some reason they said the food was going to take an hour. I arrived at the location and a woman pulls up in a truck to give me my food and she's yelling at a car that is blocking the driveway while she's telling me where she is on the phone. the food was mid and I totally regret supporting this business. I am completely baffled by this experience

You have to try Rainbow Velvet Cafe! If you like good Black folks cooking and you like to be healthy. This is the place to visit. It's fire! If you want soul-food flavor without the sodium, fake colors, grease, etc you want Rainbow Velvet Cafe. Please support Chef Telle, so she can stick around. We need food like this in Stockton. Her operation is in the building where Bella Vista Restaurant was on El Dorado in Stockton. So yummy, so healthy. Ms. Chantelle uses garden fresh ingredients (lots from her own garden), and one of her goals is to conquer poor eating habits among her folks - while turning out some crazy flavors!! Dont let the red velvet coloring on many of her menu items fool you. She does NOT use food coloring but uses beets (one of the most nutritious foods of all) to achieve that beautiful, inviting hue. Go. Eat. Enjoy.

Seasoning was on point brings back memories of granny cooking couldn't get enough. Great coustomer service I had food catered for family night the kids couldn't get enough of the rainbow velvet chicken they even ate all the rainbow vegetables and the Mac was very creamy will definitely returning.

I saw this restaurant on KCRA Channel 3 news during COVID. The news stated that this restaurant offered healthy options for fried food, and I needed to see that for myself! I ordered 3 Deluxe Chicken Meals; the 2 out of 3 orders were for my parents with Type 2 diabetes. All three of us agree that it was off the hook! It was appealing to the eye on the color of spices used; also, so savory that I plan to return for the meat pies and candy yams!

Our family tried the regular chicken, the red velvet chicken, greens, macaroni and cheese, blueberry muffins, waffles, candied yams, and two types of desserts. The superb combination of seasonings resonating in these magnificent homemade dishes created and prepared by Chef Telle are award wining, excellent and tasty!! If you have the perception that the Rainbow Velvet Cafe offers unhealthy heavy dishes, or heavy dishes that lack tastes, your perception is incorrect!! These homemade dishes on the menu at the Rainbow Velvet Cafe provides the combination of great homemade tastes and health conscious seasonings and spices!! The Rainbow Velvet Cafe has proven that an overwhelming superb meal and healthy options are an achievable tasty concept!! Everyone has heard of the term velvety tastes, well velvety tastes describes the dishes at the Rainbow Velvet Cafe!! Please try the tender red velvet chicken and the waffles, the tastes were so welcoming to my taste buds that I didn't need syrup!! The macaroni and cheese has a rich flavorful extraordinary taste with a healthy version of blended cheeses. Got a platter with the navy beans, rainbow cabbage, Mac n' Cheese, and rice. So good! Love the variety of flavors and ingredients. Serving size is perfect ( I dug in before taking the photo). I especially love the navy beans and rainbow cabbage because they're not something thats easy to find on menus around town. Phenomenal service and a delicious lunch!
