⭐️ If I Could Give Zero Stars, I’d Still Feel Generous
Walked in hungry. Walked out emotionally damaged.
Let me start by saying I’ve had better sushi from a gas station at 2 AM. This wasn’t just bad—it was a culinary war crime. The fish was so old I think it applied for Social Security. I wouldn’t serve this to my enemy’s cat.
The rice? An abomination. Mushy. Lukewarm. Clumped together like someone rolled it with their elbows. I’ve seen more texture in hospital oatmeal. And the seaweed wrap? It had the structural integrity of wet toilet paper.
I ordered a spicy tuna roll—what I got was some kind of radioactive mystery mush that tasted like it was angry at me. Spicy? It had less kick than a dying goldfish. And I don’t know what kind of “wasabi” that was, but it burned a hole in my soul.
Now let’s talk about the service. Our waiter looked like he was being held hostage. Blank stare. Forgot half our order. Brought soy sauce 20 minutes in, like it was a Michelin-starred ingredient. No apology, no urgency—just vibes. And not the good kind.
To make it worse, the place smelled like a fish tank that lost the will to live. The bathroom? Looked like it was designed by raccoons. Blind raccoons.
I came here for sushi. I left with trust issues.

Shomi Japanese Cuisine is a must-visit for anyone who loves flavorful dishes. The food here is absolutely delicious and packed with authentic Japanese flavors that will make you want to keep coming back for more. What really stands out is how affordable everything is—without compromising on quality. The best part? It’s not as busy as other spots, so you can enjoy a more relaxed dining experience. Whether you’re a fan of sushi, ramen, or any of their other offerings, everything is so yummy and prepared with care. If you're looking for a tasty meal in a low-key, comfortable setting, Shomi is definitely the place to go.

I’m sorry to even have to be writing a review about shomi’s. We have been coming here for 10+ years. Tonight it was again our choice of eating out and spending 70$ . After getting our food home and taking one bite we knew something was off. The sushi rolls were sour and very overly fishy. We get the same order every time we go. It was very obvious that it had went bad! I called and explained about the food and how it tasted like it had went bad . After talking to the owner Phil he refused a refund and said the best he could do was to remake it or give credit. I suggest before paying for your food that you taste it first so you are not out money and left with food poisoning. Unfortunately our favorite place to eat is now off limits. They should really honor there loyal customers .

This was our very first time trying this restaurant. The ordering process was different with having to order first then finding your table. With that being the only hiccup to most other restaurants we really enjoyed our food, service, and the atmosphere. The food was incredible and all the servings were absolutely delicious and big servings in comparison to other Japanese style restaurants we have tried. The service was perfect. The atmosphere was great for a family dinner or even if you and a romantic evening was occurring. If we ever are in the area again we would definitely go back!! If you are into Different types of Sake then this is place to be. I have not ever seen this many types of Sale in one place that has descriptions like this. It was fun flipping through all of these to learn about Sake!!!

The ahi tuna salad has just the right amount of dressing, and the sesame seeds on the tuna was a pleasant addition. Our waitress was friendly, and it was nice to see the restaurant fill up as lunch began.

A solid sushi spot. It was pretty good but nothing special. The cuts on the roll were too big. You also pay before you sit.
