The Mac and cheese was bland didn’t have enough seasoning, the peach cobbler the dough was undercooked, cornbread was dry and wasn’t hot, the yams didn’t have enough spices tasted like out the can and it wasn’t hot. The fish was hot and fair but not enough seasoning. The greens were fair.

My wife and I enjoyed the food and service as well as the atmosphere as we sat down for dinner. Everything was excellent, soul food at its finest is being served here and you can never go wrong when choosing this restaurant to dine or just to have your meal to go. Mac & cheese was bland , chicken was dry and the greens tasted sour, oxtails was great and meaty …so I know they can cook, the Mac & cheese needed seasoning and rue … food was cooked good, but for the price i paid … i expect so much more … the oxtails was the highlight, they were exceptional…. So if you come here , i Suggest its for oxtails and rice , cabbage plate …. Two stars ⭐️ ⭐️….

The staff was polite but the ox tails was not a hit the gravy was to watery and the Mac and cheese was creamy but just not hittin the corn bread was the best the portions was kinda small for 25 dollars I really like ox tails and compared to what I had at other places I prolly want return for those I like the simplicity of the set up and like I said the staff was real nice . Good luck to the future I wish nothing but sucrose and getting better
Omg, FINALLY!! An amazing soul food place that's in Stockton. Their food is delicious and very reasonably priced. I had the chicken tenders which were perfectly seasoned and bigger than i expected for the $12. for 6. I also had the Mac n cheese, cabbage, cornbread, potato salad, and yams. They were so good, i had to place a second order of the sides to go with my left over chicken strips. Oh and the raspberry lemonade, never had any better. I'm telling you this place will be around for a long time of they keep this up....
