Yolanda was my barista at the hotel every morning. What a pleasant personality and gracious attitude. Enjoyed meeting her.

This place is dirty and feels mildly unsafe. The front desk is pleasant and I'm sure housekeeping is doing their best, but -- other than linens and mattresses ---this place has not been updated for decades and it shows. The carpets are sticky, the bathrooms are just old and outdated and grimy. I also find it shocking that hotels that cost less offer coffee and breakfast. but here they don't -- rather sell coffees and stale pastries and other things -- and there's an up charge -- which is a little surprising considering what they don't do. I only go with Marriott but never again with Courtyard.
The hotel really shows its age and could use a refresh. I can deal with that as it was one night. What really got me was the service from the night clerk. We are Ambassadors. There is no lounge in this hotel so we asked what the hotel does for Ambassadors. Nothing apparently. Finally - and rather begrudgingly - the clerk gave us a coupon for breakfast at the Starbucks-like bistro in the lobby. He really couldn't be bothered with us. He was more interested in listening to whatever was on his earbuds. By contrast, Mike, the AM front desk clerk was bouncy and cheerful/ ready to help. What a difference 12 hours makes. This hotel rates a "meh" in my book. The room is clean. It is a place to put your head.
We come up here a lot because our daughter goes to school at U o P. This place is on a sad slide downwards. Checked in and out room has a TV the size of a computer monitor. If that wasn’t bad enough it had interference so bad it was unwatchable. After an 8 hour drive we had decided we’d just stay in so TV was our entertainment for the night. We called down to see if it was system wide or just our room. Front desk gal was a little rude, but after it was determined it was out room, she begrudgingly offered to move us. We accepted. The new room had a huge modern TV…..that worked for about an hour before it went out. Called down again and got someone else who was very helpful. Sent a maintenance dude up who rebooted our TV. That was fine but then the remote would not work so I rebooted it again myself and it’s working fine. So here’s the deal. Two different rooms, two different types of TV. One room had a microwave one didn’t. Both were kind of ratty and we opened the slider in the second room to find a screen door that was ripped and wouldn’t close all the way. The bathroom while clean have tubs that are dated scratches etc. I’m a Marriott Platinum, this hotel does not meet the minimum Marriott requirements. The maintenance guy was more than forthcoming about what he has to deal with on a regular basis and said the owners have scheduled a remodeling of the property for next year but in the meantime don’t seem to care about the property. I have three other trips I have booked. I’m canceling and am moving to the Hilton down the street until they clean this place up. Oh…there is s chain and padlock on the pool and spa in case you were wondering about that. Worst Courtyard ever and I’ve been to a bunch.
Comfortable, relatively clean, adequate room for a quick stop driving up the coast along I5. I was delivering Hovercraft down to Newport Beach and found this hotel had adequate parking for a large towed vessel. The front desk was helpful in the bathrooms were in acceptable condition - no surprises here!
Needed a place to stay on my way down to Los Angeles. Quick overnight stay. Clean for an old hotel. This is an old and worn courtyard. Generally I find the courtyards to be in much better shape. Furniture was chipped, dark room, not a place I come back to stay
I've had good service for both breakfast and dinner. Food is good and has the convenience of not leaving the hotel.
We had a fast check-in and were glad that covid protocols were being followed. We had a large room with modern decor and comfortable bed and furniture, but dim lighting. There was a small minifridge with freezer. The sink area was separate from the toilet/shower room. The sink area was very dimly lit, making it impossible to put on makeup. There was very little counter space, so getting ready in the morning was not a good experience. The shower head was good. No free breakfast was offered, but we could buy overpriced items. There are many fast food retaurants within a couple of miles to get breakfast. For the price we paid, this hotel was not a good value.
Limited menu. Four or five items. Bar. Okay if you’re too tired to leave hotel.

After driving 12 hours it was so nice to stumble into these comfortable beds and get a good night's sleep. The rooms and bathroom were up to date and amenities nice. We had excellent customer service from Tom once we got there (the reservation system and being "on hold" for 15 minutes only to be dropped was a nightmare). He made us feel very welcome and is an excellent ambassador for his hotel. We could not get the TV to work but were pretty tuckered out by the time we unpacked and had a shower.
We made a last minute reservation on our road trip. We found the Courtyard by Marriott very comfortable and clean. The evening reception desk was welcoming and friendly ...thank you Dani for the warm welcome! We would definitely stay again. Just a note because of Covid the Bistro is closed.
Virus times have stopped all the extras here – but your hotel room will be everything Courtyard always promises and delivers on. Thanks to the VIP Marriott Titanium treatment from GM Isadora, we were fortunate enough to enjoy the King 1-Bedroom Suite, with a bedroom door, tub, microwave, refrigerator (with a tiny freezer), wet-bar, balcony with table and chairs and screened windows that open for a breeze. Special thanks to Mike on the Front Desk, who was fast, friendly and efficient.
the chef is a microwave!
If they charged 1/3 the price of a nice modern Marriott hotel they get four stars. This courtyard is a tired old place. Remember that motel smell from the 1970s and 80s? It wasn't a bad smell, it was just a particular smell. The rooms have this smell. Rooms are carpeted. 1/3 normal water pressure on the shower head. The shower head is an old waterpik shower massage that's been worn out for years. The bed was comfortable and the air-conditioning kept the room cool. The staff were complying with the covid-19 rules. But they're plexiglass front desk Shields were contrived in house. Nothing sleek or professional looking. The elevator felt like an old pinto. as a titanium elite member, I've experienced many different Marriott's. both of Stockton's Marriott properties, this courtyard and the residence inn, are in dire need of a complete renovation. it's really unfair to charge someone more than about $65 per night for a room in this hotel.
