The Waterloo Restaurant Reviews
I love that almost all the great local wines are available in the bar. The ribs and pesto are my favorite, and have had that more than 100 times. I like the bar and old side.
I absolutely hate the new open table area in the the back and refuse to sit there. They need to give that a little more character. It is too open and noisy with poor quality tables and chairs. They could make some large booths and maybe even a curtain around the booths to quiet it down.
went to the Waterloo for my birthday fri. night. Haven't been there in years, was so looking forward for their calamari and pesto pasta. was so disappointed. Seems they have changed the recipe, the pesto was bland, needed more parmesan and garlic, the breading on the calamari same thing. don't know why they have cut back but please go back to original recipe.
Great food and people food amazing

The Waterloo Restaurant offers a lively atmosphere with quick seating even during busy times. Diners highly recommend the rib ends, steak with pesto pasta or red sauce, and bread pudding. The New York steak with fettuccine is a memorable dish, with a juicy and perfectly cooked steak. The salad is fresh and generous, while the salmon with pesto is moist and tender. The restaurant uses fresh ingredients, with a garden in the back providing herbs. The environment is quiet enough for conversations but lively enough to enjoy the bustling setting. The chowder is delicious, and the garlic bread, served in six slices, has a nice crunch and good flavor. Ribs are large, falling off the bone, with a sauce that’s a bit sweet and salty. The pasta appears homemade, more soft than al dente, and the pesto is creamy but slightly salty. Desserts include a light and fluffy pumpkin cheesecake with a thick crust and a maple leaf-shaped cookie on top. The restaurant is spacious, decorated with pictures and sports memorabilia showcasing its history of famous visitors. Banquet events are managed well, with outstanding food and a packed restaurant showing its popularity among visitors. It’s especially popular on Thursday evenings.
