Good portions, good homemade taste. I love the quesadillas and beans. The handmade tortillas are the best. Love this place.

The best restaurant for a family run business and the best for Mexican food. Service is also the best!

It was my first time going to this restaurant on many recommendations of a friend. The food was fine, but I ordered a enchilada dinner about $10+!!! All good til I got my bill the next month... they charged my card $40+ so not happy !!!! But go at your own risk!!! I'll stick to Nena's

Been going here for 20 years. It's my not so secret spot anymore. Family owned and operated. Very family affiliated and they make you feel like family when you're there. THE BEST HOMEMADE TORTILLAS AROUND! The food is amazing and the atmosphere is so old country, with red velvet picture frames! This is where I told my husband we were having a baby, it was our place. Every Sunday we came and sat in the same booth and they knew us by name. This was my sons 1st Mexican food and it's STILL his favorite place 14 years later! We moved to Manteca but drive to Stockton often to enjoy Xochimilcos and it's with it every time!!

The food is great and the main reason we go there is for the fantastic tortillas

3/13/2020 - I just left this place three hours ago and I am really disappointed. This was my first meal of the day and it was sad!!! I ordered the enchilada plate, one chicken & one beef. It came with rice & salad. The chicken enchilada had a small bone in it, and they did not leave anything around from that chicken, white or dark meat, bones and all!!! Neither enchilada had any taste; no seasoning whatsoever, not even a tiny-weeny pinch of salt!! The salad was lettuce & tomato (1) half slice, no dressing. We were also given chips and salsa which I did enjoy. No salt on chips, but since I ordered food to go, I put salt on the chips when I got home. Putting salt and seasoning on the enchiladas at home defeated the purpose. If I wanted to work, I would have made my own. One thing is fact: I will not be back!!! They got the customer ahead of me order wrong, and there was no one in there

Just happened to find this place when going to the Bob Hope Theatre. It's just around the corner. I've been back a few times more and I have always been satisfied and I always need a box. Don't let the facade or location after dark scare you off.

I regularly arrive purchasing some food in this place. I enjoyed the efficient customer service and well cooked food. Fantastic work.

Some of the most flavorless Mexican food I've ever had. The chips were stale. Even the after dinner mint was flavorless.

Super friendly staff, food quality and quantity were good. Nothing extraordinary but a great value per dollar.

I suggested it was a sinus clearing salsa. 5 days ago, well today February 10th 2020 My sinuses are semi clogged today. In other words, the Salsa recipe is not always the same, no matter how much of a tip was given the last visit.

I'm going to give Xochimilco another try .. My last experience was not very satisfactory.. The Restaurant seemed very dated and not clean . I Remember Xochimilco from when I was in high school , in 1970, this was our go to restaurant for Mexican food ..

Stopped here on our way back from Tahoe and it was probably some of the worst Mexican food we've had in a while. The chicken was bland, the tamales tasted more like bread rather than corn meal, and the steak was dry. The chile verde was probably the best thing we had and it was just fine. Definitely a no frills Mexican restaurant but the food quality was sub par.
