Asking for a here cup should not stir the deepest anger and despair in the barista lol

The coffee is great but the service is horrible. The baristas are very unfriendly and make you feel like they are doing you a favor taking your order or handing you your drink.

Cold brew is dank. Really high quality. Reasonable.

I went this afternoon to try their coffee. As I walked in, there store was empty and there were two employees at the counter and they gave me no greeting only just a cold stare. I slowly walked up to the counter and the employee taking my order still hadn’t said a word. I was pretty uncomfortable and felt like I didn’t belong here but I finally broke the silence and just placed my order.

When they called my name for my order I noticed that a drink was missing which I told the employee and she seemed annoyed that she had to make another drink. She then asked if I wanted a carrying tray for all my drinks and when I said yes please, she made no attempt to get one until a few seconds later. She just gave me my drinks silently and I walked away.

Overall, I felt like I was out of place at this establishment. I felt like my presence there was very unwelcoming The only reason why I rated this place 2 stars was because the coffee was good but the service was terrible. I will never come back here again and will probably visit other locations instead.

I love the coffee, but the service is terrible. I’m not sure if the baristas know that this coffee shop is Mexican inspired, as the owner mentions on their Instagram profile. The first time I visited, I didn’t feel welcome—the staff were rude and had an unpleasant attitude. Overall, the service was disappointing. They should really consider retraining or rehiring employees. It seemed as though they either dislike their jobs or choose to help certain customers based on “looks.”

Love this coffee spot, originally went to the one in Highland Park and always had a great time there. They've always had a nice array of really good breakfast food. I attached a photo of their breakfast potatoes, you should definitely give them a try, I haven't seen these anywhere else (probably because they take so long to prep lol). They do those layered crispy potatoes and they're incredible.

Great coffee,service and atmosphere is pretty good.Sometimes I don’t go to Civil because parking at Sportsman at Coldwater can be a real pain.

I love visiting here, but the customer service can be hit or miss at times.

While some of the employees are really nice, others could definitely improve. My biggest frustration, though, is that when I order coffee, it’s often not filled all the way to the top.

I come here almost every day, but because of these issues, I’ll likely be visiting less often now.

I visited Civil Coffee on 2/09, and the experience was mid 😕. The customer service did not match the prices 💰. The cashier seemed flustered with the number of customers, which made the service feel rushed. The iced latte 🧊☕ and the egg & cheese burrito 🌯 were just okay—nothing special. For the price, I expected better!

The worst cup of 6 dollar coffee. Bitter, undrinkable.

This has been my go to coffee shop and I really enjoy their drinks, I don’t know if it’s their rotation or baristas but the last couple of times their coffee has been really bad.

20$ for 2 coffee’s is way to expensive! It’s not a hotel where you are paying for upscale ambiance….

Honestly, I can’t justify waiting 20 minutes for a coffee
