Stayed local and visited twice. It’s a perfect little coffee shop with a clear menu for drinks and some pastries.

This café is 100% plant-based, so everything on the menu is vegan and dairy free, which makes it a great spot if you’re looking for healthier options. The décor is super cute and filled with plants, very “Instagram worthy.” Honestly, it might feel a little too pretty or girly if you’re bringing a guy, but I personally loved how clean, cozy, and peaceful it felt. There isn’t a ton of space inside, but it’s well kept and there are also outdoor patio seats to enjoy when the weather is nice. My favorites were the Pink Matcha and the 24K Charcoal Latte. The Pink Matcha mixes matcha with beets, giving it a naturally sweet yet earthy flavor that feels light and healthy not overly sugary at all. The 24K Charcoal Latte looks dramatic with its jet black color and gold flakes on top, but the taste is surprisingly smooth and rich without any burnt or ashy flavor. Both were very unique drinks I haven’t seen elsewhere, and both were fun, tasty, and worth trying.

Ever since I stumbled upon Coffee and Plants a year ago, it’s quietly become one of my favorite spots in LA. From the warm, cozy energy to the delicious drinks that actually do what they need to do—this place is a gem. Today’s sip was the double pumpkin matcha latte, and it was heavenly. You can truly feel the love in each cup. They keep the menu seasonal, the ingredients clean, and the vibes peaceful. It’s also a great place to get work done or just sit and recharge. Good people. Beautiful interior. Easygoing staff.

The coffee drinks are great. I also love their pastries, but they run out quickly on weekends.

I wanted to share some feedback following my recent visit. I ordered a cheese croissant, but unfortunately, it was not tasty and honestly not edible.
I waited almost 25 minutes for it, and in the end, I was very disappointed.
I’m sharing this in the hope that you’ll take it into consideration and improve the experience for future customers.

I‘m there almost week, I‘m obsessed with their strawberry cream matcha. But also everything else there is amazing and I love the location and vibe there 🩷

Came to this café with my girlfriends to have a nice breakfast and enjoy the atmosphere.

Unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing. The cashier wasn’t friendly, and when we sat outside, all the tables were dirty — crumbs, spilled drinks everywhere. We asked someone to clean it, but no one came. We had to grab napkins and clean the table ourselves.

When the food arrived, it was handed to us in takeout boxes, even though we were clearly sitting at a table and never asked for takeout.

They didn’t give us any utensils — no forks, no knives. We had to go inside and ask what was going on. The staff told us they didn’t have clean dishes, even though other guests were eating from proper plates.

We asked for at least some plastic utensils — they gave us forks only after we asked. No one offered them beforehand. Knives never came.

To make it worse, the restroom was out of order, and there was no place to wash our hands before eating.

I ordered a coffee and avocado toast — it cost $25. The coffee was actually tasty, but they didn’t have coconut milk and had a very limited selection of syrups.

Terrible service, very unpleasant experience. I’m definitely never coming back.

I even left a tip, which I now regret. The place looks cute, but the service deserves 1 star.

Just randomly closed on a Friday morning 9 AM with no notice. So annoying…

Although it’s a 5 star review (because I love this place overall), there’s definitely a couple of items that have to improve.

To start let me just say - I’ve been a fan from the moment first coffee shop opened in Pasadena! Always friendly, cute little place that welcomes you and has incredible selection of vegan pastry + good coffee.

However, this location in particular needs a bit of love. Please don’t warm up the pastry till it burns your fingers and mouth - I’m sure you can use different settings for flat bread vs croissants.

And service could be better. Sometimes it’s amazing (like it was yesterday, I immediately connected with the girl that was so nice and caring), and on a day like today… well let’s just say it wouldn’t hurt to smile to guests that leave pretty high amounts for a coffee shop and are regular visitors.

I hope this feedback is not hurting the team but rather helps improve the quality. These are little things that are easy to fix but leave much better impression.

This is the perfect spot to have a latte and read a book or meet up with friends!
