I come here often and have spent a lot of money here. Never had an issue before tonight. But today I was sitting with my girlfriend having a few drinks, when suddenly the manager came up to me out of nowhere and said I need to remove my hoodie. Mind you, I didn't have my hoodie on the entire time, but since it's super cold I slightly put my hoodie on over to cover my ears only. There were other people wearing beanies, caps and cowboy hats. The manager singled me out of everyone and said that it's because "certain people come in here with groups and gangs with hoodies on covering their faces, so this is our policy." This was super offensive and ridiculous, considering I was sitting with my girlfriend and we clearly did not appear to be a gang of hoodlums. I'm a paying patron and in no way shape or form did I represent his description. My face was clearly visible, and he only singled me out because I'm not white.

Update: As of 12.30.2024 I have not heard back from management as they promised to do. I sent them a email as requested and havent heard back from them. As it stands now it seem clearly their reaction to my review was a bad faith attempt to save face with all of the customers that read these reviews. The level of customer care you claim to provide is a false promise. There is no follow through with your company.

My girlfriend and I cam here for her birthday with a reservation at 8:30pm. We did not get sat at our table for 45mins. When I asked the manager about this he told me that's how their "reservation work"(please keep in mind I am summerize the conversation). So while we waited in the bar a server came to our table (while we waited for our actual table) ask for water and never returned in the 45mins. We never got the water. The first water we got was 1hr in. We didn't get our food till 10pm. Please keep in mind we arrived at the restaurant at 8:30. The managers explication was dismissive and lacked any kind of accountability. They offered us drinks but we already had full drinks. The hostess was suppose to come get us from the bar and never did. They sent us a text that our table was ready but never told us that's what they were going to do. Our server at our actual table was great. But the manager and hostess and first server need significant improvement. This was a for my gf bday and I would never come here again.

We had a deeply disappointing experience at this restaurant on Christmas Day, a day meant to be about love and togetherness. The staff was inflexible regarding their ID policy, insisting on a physical passport for identification. Despite us being visibly older than 21, they refused to accept a Dutch driver’s license or even a photo of our passport.
When the bartender called the manager to discuss the issue, she didn’t even greet us upon arriving and came across as very unfriendly. Her exact words were, “You’re not even allowed to sit at the bar without ID.” To make matters worse, we weren’t allowed to stay at the bar even if we only wanted non-alcoholic drinks.
To add insult to injury, we later noticed that they marked us as a no-show on the OpenTable app, even though we were clearly present. This kind of behavior is completely unacceptable and unprofessional.
This rigid and unwelcoming approach completely ruined our Christmas. What should have been a festive and joyful occasion was instead a frustrating and disheartening experience. We won’t be returning and strongly advise others to avoid this restaurant if they’re looking for a warm and accommodating atmosphere.

I don’t see from reviews that owner taking any real actions to improve staff service skills or staff itself

This is exactly my vibe.
I love sitting outdoor with the heater next to me in winter. There was a live show on that day, and my desire of dining here was because I was attracted by a kinda middle eastern decoration in the restaurant. The food, the vibe, and especially my pic at the entrance, none of them disappointed. So yes. Go check this cute place with this cute name

Food and service was great but what really didn’t feel right was that we noticed they obviously sat the diverse people in the back while the main dining room was filled with white people. When I politely and quietly mentioned it to the manager, his response was that 90% of the people in restaurant are diverse and brushed it off. I just found it interesting that all the Asian and the black people were in the back…just saying what we saw.

We made a reservation and weren’t seated until almost 1 hour later and our food came out almost 2 hours after we arrived. This caused us to miss our after dinner plans. We were told by an employee that the reservation website does not coincide with their actual availability— so they may have reservations open online but they don’t have any tables for you. After speaking to their manager, he said that the reservation allows us to enter the restaurant. So what is the point of the reservation? On top of that, no one got us water until an hour later and we ended up walking to the bar ourselves to get our drinks. This was disappointing as the food I was good but the service was highly lacking. I was excited to try this place but it would be difficult to justify coming back here again.

The food was very good, and the venue is beautiful, but the service left so much to be desired. From the reception, to the bartender, and even our server, everyone was cold, uninviting, unfriendly, and skirting the line of being rude. I don’t intend to come back, nor do i recommend this place to others.

In “the Valley”, there’s a restaurant called Firefly that you could easily miss. Outside, there’s a valet in front of a wall covered in ivy and a door, but no sign. So it has a “speakeasy” quality. Inside is a very cool modern library and bar. And then further inside in a large dining room with very cool, funky booths, tables, a fireplace, and a second bar. The whole room is covered with a roof, but one wall is open air. There are heaters around the room. The menu was great and the food was delicious. This is more of a “date night” place than a family friendly place. I think the closest approximation to Firefly is The Little Door in Hollywood. But the vibe at Firefly is more modern. The dessert of Sticky Toffee Cake is amazing!

Such an intimate, romantic restaurant. Celebrated my birthday here recently with dinner reservations and was seated outside but not to worry there’s outdoor heaters! Dinner came out fairly fast as well as the dessert. Delicious food and great vibes all around!
Parking: Valet parking is pretty much your only option unless you get luckily with a street metered parking which is limited
