We had reservations for Dine-LA lunch, and nowhere on Granville's website does it say that once seated you can only order the Dine LA fixed menu. That rule was only communicated after we sat down, printed on the menu handed to us at the table. One person in our group wanted a brunch/breakfast option. There was zero flexibility, and I was told I'd still be charged even if I didn't order anything. The Dine LA menu mostly overlaps with their regular menu, no brunch or sweet tooth items-- nothing particularly special or unique.
Instead of a small accommodation, they chose to lose a over 10-year customer. That says a lot.
Update: Management later clarified that ordering from the regular menu should have been allowed, which contradicts what we were explicitly told at the table.

Excellent food and a great overall experience! The menu has a wide variety of classic American dishes, all well-prepared and full of flavor. Portions are generous, ingredients are fresh, and everything tastes consistently good. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, perfect for casual dining. Service was friendly and efficient. Came to Grandville for brunch—there are lots of great menu options. It did take a little while to receive our meals, and it was quite noisy with many kids screaming, likely due to the rainy Sunday. That said, the staff was kind and very accommodating.

I’ve been here a few times, usually the service is great this last time on New Year’s Eve not so much. I’ve had the half chicken in the pork chop, which are both amazing options. If you’re very hungry, my friend got the steak, which wasn’t quite as good. Also, great cocktails. If you’re looking for a good place on Ventura Boulevard to grab a nice meal for under 40 bucks before tax both Granville and Lalas are good options.

Granville with a pet pet-friendly patio though they expressly do not cater to dogs. Love that they provide a rules sheet but be prepared and bring your own doggy treats and eats. Water for doggo is nice and I'm glad there's no menu for dogs as those are often way overpriced. Humans food is good but maybe ask for any horseradish sauce on the side for those dishes that have. Eg. Beef Stroganoff. The beets beat Brussels sprouts, and the steak is surprisingly well-cooked and lightly seasonedm. Though rarely perfect, good rare is good eats. Parking can be a pain but that's normal for the area.

From the moment we walked in, we knew we’d found something special. The ambiance strikes that rare balance of cozy and refined — dim lighting, warm wood, and a staff that treats you like a regular even if it’s your first visit. Every dish was thoughtful without being pretentious. The appetizers were bright and flavorful, the entrées perfectly seasoned, and the dessert… genuinely unforgettable. (I’m still thinking about that chocolate torte.) Service was attentive without hovering, and plates came out at just the right pace. It’s the kind of restaurant that reminds you how joyful a truly great meal can be. We’ll be back — often.
