Hi there, it’s Alfie the mini Dachshund again! ? I recently had brunch at Jax’s Studio City, and let me tell you, the food was almost as good as a nice belly rub!
First up, the Meat Lovers Burrito! Yum, it was packed with all the good stuff—meaty, savory, and filling. I’d give it a solid 8/10. Then came the Classic Egg Sandwich… let’s just say the garlic aioli made it delicious! Every bite had me wagging my tail in excitement.
Now, as much as I liked the food, the service was a bit ruff-ruff ?. It seemed like they might have been short-staffed(and I know short) and oddly enough, they asked everyone to provide a card to eat. Not sure what that was about! But other than that, everything was still pretty pawsome.
So, if you’re in the mood for a tasty breakfast, Jax’s won’t let you down on food, but just be ready for a little wait. ?
Also the price was $100 for 2 so get ready.

Shrimp were great but the calamari had gravely chewy rings and had zero seasoning; I whole heartedly promise I’m not exaggerating. Waitress barely came to our table at all. I was lucky to be able to put an order in and pay. My food was delivered by someone else and since I hadn’t seen our waitress I asked the person that dropped my food off for a napkin and some silverware. The silverware and a napkin never came. I ate my food with my hands and no napkin to wipe my hands. We were completely abandoned. We never saw a server walk by again. The whole area was completely abandoned. Extremely disappointed. I was also charged a fee on my bill for not paying with cash. The owners deciding to do that is SHOCKINGLY petty. Venue is quaint but cute with great effort in the decor. Because the service was so disappointing, I wouldn’t return.

Place is not bad you can tell it hasn’t been open for long and the fact that they use the kitchen next door (Rocco’s tavern) shows you the type of food they have, what makes the experience for most women here is seeing the owner and his buddies, fellas if your girl wants to come here be ready to be the photographer ?

My friends and I went for trivia night. The staff and drinks were AMAZING.
Was very excited to try Jax's but we didn't even stay 15 mins as the experience was pretty terrible. It was a Saturday and it was dead, we got greeted but then 15 mins, no server to be found. Then, I noticed ants crawling all over the table and I was done. Do not recommend
My husband and I had the best time at Jax's on my birthday! The staff was absolutely incredible. Special shout out to Stephanie, Alana and Yama. The food and cocktails were so good!
To make it even better, Brittany, Jasmine, Luke and some of the crew made a special appearance! They couldn't have been nicer and they were all so down to Earth.
If that wasn't enough we sang Karaoke and just had the best time. Thanks so much! It was the best birthday! Hopefully, my husband and I will get a chance to return sooner than later!
Had the best night! The staff truly goes out of their way to make you feel at home. Great service- great atmosphere! Super clean and fun decor. Bachelor and Karaoke night was so much fun! Brittany was so kind and went out of her way to make sure everyone in attendance was having a great night. Will definitely be back!
