I'm from NJ and lived and worked in The City for over 15 years and this pizza is the closest to NY pizza I've had since I've lived in LA for the last 20 years, I haven't had anything else from here, but I definitely recommend the pizza.

So today I finally made it over to Pepe's. Been wanting to check this place out for a long time. Being a New Yorker I was once again excited to find a good NY pizza spot in LA. But as soon as saw these uninspiring slices in the display case I knew this was going to be a tragedy. It's like this pizza was created by a 3D PRINTER. And it tastes like it. Please don't think this represents NY pizza. There are fine places here in LA that do it right this isn't one of them.

Unfortunately, I feel this can barely be described as "crunchy bread with sauce and cheese."It's fine if this is what people like, but it is not NY pizza. There are tons of legitimate ways to describe "NY styled pizza," but in my 28 years of living in NY, I haven't seen many like this and the ones that were somewhat similar to this had much more life.

Originally from NJ and lived and worked in NYC I've lived here almost 20 yrs. I've always been skeptical of pizza parlors that have "NY" in their name. I've passed by Pepe's for years and never tried it. Well I have to say I am very glad I did! This ABSOLUTELY the BEST pizza around.

Wow what a great unassuming place! With all pizza competition in Studio City, somehow we keep going back here. Quick service, well priced deals & really good pizza. I am not a NY pizza person, but something about this place makes me come back. Several experiences here, all great.

They have the best GF pizza. I can’t tell you how ridiculously difficult it is to find a quality Gf crust. There’s is reasonably priced and the staff is lovely. Love love love it.

Some how managed to make a calzone that is cold and uncooked, with spots of raw dough in it, yet golden brown on the outside. Fascinating!
