I don’t know why my friends keep dragging me to sugar fish when there are sooo many better sushi spots near by. The ambience is nice, but the servers are a bit rude. The food like all my other sugar fish reviews is just okay. Nothing to write home about, but at least it’s consistent throughout all of their locations.
If you don’t ever want your mind blown , come to sugar fish.

I come here everytime I want to die and then it makes life worth living

Very little selection. No hot sake. No soy paper for the sushi. The sushi we ate had no taste. I would effectively call this restaurant chain the “Denny’s of the sushi world.”

Don’t expect their wait times to be accurate, they will text you 5 min when in reality it will be over 20.

SUGARFISH is my favorite sushi in LA. Took my wife there for her first time and she loved it as well. Food is exquisite. Great service and vibes. Love all the shops next door at this location. Great date spot.

I come here every time I visit my family who live walking distance from this town center. There is usually a wait but you can shop or relax in the courtyard space. I've never had a bad meal. It's a very limited menu (not your typical sushi restaurant). It's sort of a flight of sushi is the best way I can describe it. I usually get the The Nozawa Trust Me. I don't care for salmon and they always swap it out for me free of charge. Their toro is amazing. Sometimes they have specials (one of the times I went they had monkfish liver which i had to try). The saki options are solid, we always find one we enjoy. The space is very small, there is limited bar seating. Always a great time and I keep coming back!

Kid-friendliness: No kids menu that im aware of, I've never seen kids and wouldn't recommend for young children

Sushi with Brandon and the gang for his 18th birthday was a blast ... Took a long splash in the North Pacific Ocean after that ...

Nice sushi spot.

Expensive and tasty, but the service is a big, fat minus of this establishment. I had to wait 50 minutes for my order and it was only one of the plates. Each subsequent one was brought with an interval of 10-15 minutes from the previous one, although everything was ordered at the same time. My husband and I left hungry, as we aimed to taste what we ordered first and order what we liked the most, but the wait overcame all desires. + fi service, taxes and some unknown establishment fee essentially almost corresponded to the cost of the order...

Decided to get take out from here. When I arrived to pick up the food the guy helping me was a little weird. It felt like I should be there. The food was good but the experience was not.

tbh, i hadn't heard of this place prior to being invited by friends. apparently i've been missing out this whole time (which is weird considering i love sushi).
i would go as far as to say that for the price, it is the best deal in LA rn. Not only is the food great but the ambiance, coupled with the high level of professionalism, makes this place so loved by others (i get it now). Trust me— friends and i paid $50+ per person elsewhere and here i are similar portions for $30 even. The other place had mayo and whatever secret sauce they use on 'funhouse' sushi nowadays.
This place had all-natural goodness (or so it seemed, don't quote me on the details).
