I went there after 11 o clock to satisfy some late evening munchies and was psyched to find out all their baked goods are gluten free, and they use organic ingredients. For a gf cupcake it was especially rich and satisfying! I should have taken a picture but I was busy!

Such a cute spot that offers indoor and outdoor seating. So many options to choose from and every dish at nearby tables looked amazing. I got the chicken and waffle - it was so yummy and nostalgic to have (ask for extra syrup and butter ) can't wait to come back!

Seems like they have a huge menu. Will have to try their breakfast. Went there to have their desserts and it was really great. Will definitely go back.

Food was absolutely delicious! We had the baked lasagna (a little tangy), the pesto pasta with chicken (phenomenal) and the mini nachos (delicious) with some strawberry cheesecake. Everything was superb! Only complaint - a little expensive but overall worth it!

Came here Sunday at 2pm. Plenty of free parking at the meters today and a small parking lot for the restaurant. 20 minutes and no water has been brought over yet. There's 3 tables of us looking around for a server. My friend who made our reservation said our table was given away because there is no host upfront and people just ask a waiter can they take a seat. She called the waiter out on it and they moved the party of two to a two top table Around 35 mins after being here all the tables near us food starts coming out, so they must of waited longer and the kitchen is caught up. Heard a lot of apologizing from the main waitress outdoors to different tables. Maybe they're understaffed? I saw the "host" buss a table while sitting someone at it lol. My friend kept promising the food would makeup for the service. Just saw another couple complain about never being approached. Onto the positives: the beyond meat burger was amazing. Kale salad was pretty good too. The protein green shake for the $17 dollar lived up to the price, the vibes and music (Lauren hill, Frank ocean) are all inviting. Tannisha our waitress really did the best she could with the situation

I will step in and visit Sun Café often just to see if they try new chefs out or have new things on the menu overall since they redid their restaurant about eight years ago, it's a lovely ambience on the outside, especially around the fire pit. What I will say is that the food seems heavier lately for traditional, vegan cuisine, which is confusing to me, the wines are fair that they offer nothing unique or exquisite about them. The price range for Sun café keeps up with the cost of inflation and it is expensive. My particular service was good up until three or four other tables were sat, and then no one came over for quite a while, and I had to ask somebody for a refill on my glass of water The one thing that irked me the most was that after I paid my bill, I was still finishing my coffee and nobody came over to me at all. I really wish servers would start to realize that they need to still check in with people even after they paid the bill! What if I had wanted to buy something else to take with me? Anyway, I recommend the restaurant for vegan and gluten-free individuals, especially and I'm looking forward to trying it again because I heard that they will be having new Cook start there, so I'm interested in what new meals they will have to offer. This and I hope they step up their wine game a bit they could do so much better than what they're offering currently.

The chicken pesto sandwich was delicious & tasty. Their chocolate chip cookies are yummy. Ambiance is homey and chill. Overall, a great experience & great service. Highly recommend going!

I was looking for vegan food in the area and stumbled upon this location. Their menu is huge. From vegan sushi, to pasta, Mexican dishes, breakfast, desserts, they have it all. I ordered nachos to start. Probably one of the best tasting nachos I've tried. We also ordered arrabbiata pasta, cauliflower steak and potatoes, white truffle pizza and chicken flautas. The drinks here are amazing and they serve alcohol. I didn't have room for dessert but this is not a place you come once. I have to make another trip to experience this again since their menu is so huge. They don't compromise flavor either. I'm kept forgetting the food was vegan. From the cheese to the meat, nothing was compromised. We had the sweetest waiter ever, Chris. He was so patient with us as it was our first time. Also, the ambiance of the place is adorable. Felt like a cozy cottage. An nice escape from the city especially after a long crazy day at Universal Studios, which is not too far. I will be back again! 10/10

Unfortunately, last night the milkshake was not good, but the food is generally very good. I love this place. The service was excellent. The ambience is out of this world. The only issue is parking.

A terrific dinner at Sun Cafe! Amazing cuisine! So tasty and creative. Warm, welcoming and attentive service. And a very pleasant ambiance. This was our second visit, and we'll definitely be back to explore more of the menu.

I usually don't eat vegan but found that the food was very tasty. Staff was very helpful on what the menu had to offer. The service was excellent

All plant based, even desserts! Everything was delicious and our group had various age ranges with different allergies. Timely service and casual atmosphere. Parking lot is medium sized. Highly recommend.

I don't know what I love more about this place...the food or the cute oasis they've created. I can't choose but I do know my absolutely favorite thing on the menu is their Strawberry Cheesecake. I daydream about it constantly and I can't manage to be in the area without wanting to stop in for a slice. To me it's hands down the best vegan cheesecake I've tasted. It's so yum it's never had a chance to have it's pic taken because I scarf it down so fast. So I posted some pics of the hummus and Reuben I had. Both yummy in their own right. If you stop in for some grub they do have a small parking lot right in front. And usually there's not much of a hassle regardless finding street parking on this patch of Ventura. Check it out!
