Great place to eat fresh Sushi.

South Korean soup hits that spot

Another Fav place to enjoy sushi. Great service, good for a date as well as for Family night out. Love their shrimp shumai, garlic hamachi, baked crab hand roll, and much more. Only downside is parking is difficult.

We were never notified about a gratuity in beforehand. They told us it was an 18% gratuity for a party of 5+. We double checked the numbers and had noticed they had lied and actually charged us a 22% gratuity because they were calculating after tax to add an artificial junk fee. (CHECK YOUR RECEIPT, CALCULATE BEFORE TAX)

tl;dr: Avoided notifying us about gratuity then artificially raised it to make us pay more

Always a great place for a wonderful meal and the staff is excellent!

SUPER overpriced for what it is.
The food is good but not that good for the meal to be over $120+ for just 2 people.
This used to be my favorite place, when pricing WAS reasonable.
Now within the past year and a half their pricing is insane. You might as well go to a fancy 5 star sushi restaurant with how much you are going to be spending here. Its really not worth it.
And be careful when it comes to the bill, they will try sneaking in a higher gratuity when it should be 18%

The sushi dan in studio city is great in my opinion. Everyone there is absolutely amazing!

The meal for 5 people cost $244 before tax, plus tax of $23.18 and tip of $53.44 for a total of $330. However, they charge a tip before tax, which is wrong. I asked the waiter why they charge a tip before tax and what % the tip is. She said it was 18% and I told her , now you charged more than 20% and you still said 18%. She said she didn’t know why she had to charge tips like this, and the receipt did not show the percentage of tips. I felt that this business was cheating customers.

Really good sushi at an affordable price, this will be our new go to for casual sushi dinnner. The happy hour prices are amazing and they do happy hour weekdays and weekends, just check the hours. They have a lot of options for cooked & raw! Everyone found something to enjoy :)

Best baked salmon roll anywhere. Langostino roll is a must try, black jack, yellowtail hamachi and rock shrimp are the best.

Kid-friendliness: Great chicken katsu tenders for the kids
