This location never fails. From the pop corn shrimp appetizer, garlic edamame, to their rolls... always tastes like perfection. Service is always fast so you can be in and out of there in about an hour.

Some of the best sushi I've had in LA. The quality of fish was out of this world. If you can't afford a really expensive omekase experience but love good sushi this is right up your alley.

Some of you may know the Katsuya in the Americana in Glendale, well, this has nothing to do with that one (quality-wise!). This is an awesome little joint that is always stuffed with people and the food is really good. If you have ever been to an authentic Japanese hole in the wall, you know it should look like this! The only bad thing about the place are......well, the customers. When I sat with my wife, a table of 3 ladies was paying the check and they continued sitting there long after we left!

Let me give you all a free piece of knowledge: when the server brings you the check, especially without you asking, they are not pressuring you for a tip. It means the table is needed to produce more money for the night. Those girls made that table skip a turn-around and probably tipped horribly for staying 40+ minutes yapping hysterically on a table after having paid the check. The place was packed that night, that was a low ball girls!

Anyway, awesome place, absolutely try it! Oh yeah, you will be pleasantly surprised by its prices! (Wink)

valet refused to work with me as i had a digital key - they then refused my business all together? super weird and uncomfy. usually with digital keys, valet tells me where to park or i turn the car on and off for them via mobil.

Avoid this old dirty restaurant with bad atmosphere and really rude employees! I was having dinner with my daughter, and she recommended Catsuya, since it was close to her place. I told her it was not the best atmosphere and good food, since I never had good experience eating there before. However she wanted Japanese and there are not many choices in the area, we made a reservation and arrived early. One of the hostess
( younger female) told us they could seat us as soon as a table is available. We even agreed to sit at the bar if seats became available. So we waited and waited and see at least 4 tables became available and each time they gave the table to someone that just walked in the door, we waited 30 minutes and finally since my daughter has some health condition, she was getting anxious and not feeling well. I approached the head host( a middle aged heavy set lady) and asked are we going to be seated soon? She rolled her eyes at me and said, as you see there are no available tables. I replied you have been seating people who just walked in! She replied” they have reservations! I said so do we and we have been waiting for 30 minutes. She rolled her eyes at me again and walked away with anger! She returned with a large intimidating guy and without introducing himself said what seems to be the problem. I explained everything to him politely and expected him the resolve the issue! To my surprise he ignored all my expectations and repeated again, there are no tables available! He continued with, the people who came after us and got seated had reservations, ignoring the fact that we also have reservations. So basically costumer service in this dirty restaurant with low quality food( some of their food is pre-cooked and reheated when ordered to save time) does not exist! Bottom line bad pre-cooked food, terrible atmosphere, bad seating( very cramped cluttered dinning room) with horrible service, make your dinner experience to a nightmare! Avoid by all means!

Worst customer service I’ve ever experienced! I placed an order by mistake from this branch for pick up, after 20 second I realised it’s the wrong branch and they refused to refund me. 20 seconds after I placed the order!
